These 2 games i hear alot and seen videos and pictures of but i dont get the hype.

Spore looks like a build of army of germs. Can some one explain what would be the basic plot of the game what do you have to do to complete the game? And if it is similar to The Sims care explain cuz i never played a Sims game

No More Heroes i had my doubts about this game at first because of the graphics for me it was a turnoff but now that i see more and more I'm ok about the graphics now im just worried about its gameplay and the foul language. How exactly do you play the game do you swing the remote and such? Is it me but he cusses alot i don't mind a cuss word here and there but it seems he over uses it. Is it just his attitude which i have to get over? And how do you use his awesome bike with the nunchuck or tilt left and right like in SMG Ray ride

Don't really know much about Spore, and my guess is it'll be dumbed down for the Wii.

No More Heroes looks amazing though. Most of combos are from pressing the A button, but you will get prompts on how to move the Wiimote and Nunchuck for finishing and wrestling moves. The over the top cussing and violence is all part of the stylee. As far as I know the bike is controlled by analog. However, I've heard that driving and getting around in the overworld is the low point of the game. The combat looks insanely fun, but if hack n slash isn't your thing, I don't think you'd enjoy this game much.

No More Heroes is being made by the same guy that made Killer 7 for the gamecube (one of the most messed up games ever, extremely twisted). That being said, expect No More Heroes to be very gory and twisted as well, since it is using a very similar style to killer 7.

Spore's not my kind of game, so I don't know much about it.

I'm an expert on the subject of NMH, though. In my opinion, it looks like it'll be worth the money for the sense of humor alone. Too bad for PAL regions, though. Cencorship = fail.

I agree about the PAL regions.

It just doesn't make sense, it's like Katamari Damacy and it's unique look. The game's violence is more over the top bordering on comical then it's true to life.

Have you watched any videos of the game? The graphics are by no means great by today's standards, but saying they look like early 90's graphics is just stupid. At the very worst they look like a good PS2 game.

I am really looking foward to NMH. It looks like a fast and good game. I hear it is short and somewhat repetive but the style is great and the blood reminds me of one of my favorite movies, Kill Bill because of the funny blood flow. The extras also look good but im worried about what ill do after the 15 or more hours of gameplay. Is ther anything after?

No, it's the look they're going for.

The characters look like you went and took the Virtua Fighter bodies from one of the games in the early 90's and added some polish.

Katamari was awful looking but that's the look they were going for. Same thing with No More Heroes, people are made out of blocks just like they were in 1991.

On an off-topic Virtua Fighter related note, does Travis look like Brad or is it just me?

No More Heroes looks kinda boring, easy, and repetitive... everyone the main guy kills says, "My Spleen!!!" and the enemies don't all come at you, they wait until you've finished off another enemy before they come charging. I'll have to see more videos to convince me to get this game...

If you aren't a fan of hack n slash games No More Heroes probably wont appeal to you. It's also a Suda 51 game.. so I'm willing to bet that the game will be better than the sum of its parts. In the same way that Killer 7 was.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I made a topic about this a while back regarding my lack of enthusiasm regarding No more Heroes,(and got flamed for some strange reason) and how from what I've seen, it looks like a Saturn game on the Wii sporting clumsy and inhuman character movements.

This is simply my opinion, and I would like nothing more to be proven wrong...but the only way to prove me wrong is to wait until No More Heroes comes out and gains stellar reviews.

Spore is a game where you bring a species from it's bacterial stage all they way to its space age, where you explore planets, and scan things for info. The game lets you customize your species IMMENSELY, along with buildings, towns, etc. Look it up on Gametrailers.

And everyone else explained NMH pretty well...

After Killer7 I pretty much decided to buy anything made by Suda 51 for the rest of time. I thought it was great! There was a lot of people that hated Killer 7 with a passion and to be honest I dont blame them, I completely understand how someone could hate that game. You either love it or hate it and I can see No More Heroes going the same route.

Gameplay is going to come second to thesty.le of the game. BUT the guys at IGN have mentioned that the combat in this game is pretty sweet so maybe we'll get the best of both worlds.

I suggest to anyone hyping No More Heroes to play Killer7 if you havent already. You'll get a better idea of type of game to look forward (or not) to.

NMH, to me, looks like an attempt at the GTA-style gameplay, but instead of doing a lot of things, you just hack-and-slash everywhere. The gameplay looks repetitive, the AI looks slow and not very smart, and I noticed in 1 video (he was driving around on his motorcycle thing) that there were only 2 cars driving around (in the span of like 20 blocks), and no people were wondering the streets. Pretty barren town, if you ask me. I hope it turns out to be good though. I really do. I hope it has more substance to it than it seems so far.

Spore is the Ultimate god game! you start out with specifies, you chose what traits they have, eventually natural selection and survival of the fittes will weed out or change certain parts of your species. you start form a single cellular species to a highly evolved form, from there you start technological improvements. once you've reached a certain level in evolution aznd have the proper technology, you can go out and conquer other galaxies, controlled and created by other players.

As I said, the ultimate god game :P

First of all I have no interest in Spore. No More Heroes I'm very interested in since I loved Killer 7 because it was so unique. No More Heres I was excited when I first heard about it. But after seeing the game-play footage and how crude and bloody it is i'm kinda not impressed. Too much cursing (overly more than there should be) and the blood is like from a kill bill movie(its ridiculous!). Sorry just my two cents worth.

the thing i really loved about killer7 was that it was really underappreciated. because of this, a lot of the amazing humor and well, strangeness, went without trying to be popular. in other words, it was what it was and was really great.

no more heroes looks great too. i cant wait. however, because it already is so popular, it seems like it is going to try for more than it is. this makes me nervous. its going to try to be funny, try to be violent, and so with that in mind, it may not achieve as high as level as killer7 in my eyes.

as for spore, i dont know anything about that

its called Cel-shaded graphics, they aren't bad graphics, its jst an artistic combination between real and cel.shading (just like WW). the game was meant to be like that, from the very beginning they wanted the game to look very stylish and artistic (colorful, funny, blood running like crazy from headless corpses, etc), just look at Killer 7's graphics they are almost the same s-tyle but this ones are better, its just the type of games Suda (creator/director) likes to make.

And for the bike thing, i think it os controlled turning the Wiimote since you can see a bar at the bottom telling you if you are going left or right (like a balance).

Many people like those God games, they like controlling the world and having infinite replay value, hence the hype behind spore. No More Heroes just looks like a blast to play, it looks like a game that wont take itself so serious allowing for a very humerous experience. I mean the basis of the game is he's killing people so that he can pay for video games, but the reality is he has to pay them to work for them. That game should be a blast to play.
