SSBB - Characters you think should've be in it/Should be in the next one

This thread is kind of like a Wishlist for characters you think should've been in Smash Bros Brawl, or should be in the next one. Feel free to post pics and explain what you think their movesets should be. If you find/have animated gifs post those too to help illustrate what the moves would look like. I'll get things started with,

Mega Man X

I think he's an obvious choice. He's an awesome chracter and has a lot of great games.

His moveset could be

B Attack - Would still be shooting pellets really fast similar to Fox's B Attack plus you could hold B to do a charge attack like Samus's/Lucario's

Over + B -He could dash with an uppercut

Up + B - He could call Rush and jump off his back like a spring

Down + B - He could slide a longer distance across the screen/ground and kick

For his final smash, since he has to power to absorb all the boss's powers he could jump up into the center of the screen and randomly absorb one character's final smash then use it. Not sure what to call it though.

Not sure what his taunts would be.

King K. Rool

I think he would be an awesome character to use, Smash Bros needs more Boss Characters.

His moveset could be,

B Attack -Could be that he throws his crown

Over + B - He could run with a charge attack slamming intoa character like a body slam

Up + B - He could jump up into the air like King Dedede/Bowser and slam into the ground.
He could do a summersault midway through the air and jump longer from side to side.

Down + B - He could pull out a cannon and shoot cannon balls. He could shoot one at a time or you chould charge it to make him shoot more than one.

For his final smash, hecould jumpup into the air off the screen then continue to jump up and down making giant cannon balls rain down on everyone like he does in Donkey Kong Country. It could be called Canon Ball Barrage.

Not sure what his taunts would be.

Earthworm Jim

He would be awesome to use as well. His games were really weird and fun.

His moveset could be,

B Attack -Could be shooting



Over + B - He could use his head as a whip



Up + B - He could use his head as a helicopter to float/fly



Down + B - You could hold to charge, then he pulls out his rocket ship thing and flys into someone making it explode, kind of like Diddy Kong's up B move with the rocket barrels. The longer you charge it the farther and faster he would fly, but it would have a limit of course.

For his final smash, you'd be able to control him and make him run around being invincible for a short time shooting plasma shots, a type of ammo you get in his games that's like a huge blast. It could be similar to Snakes final smash where you get 12 shots, or a limited amount of shots. And like Yoshi's but he wouldn't fly, you could run around and control him and have better aim. Instead of just shooting in one direction you should shoot however you want and shoot them faster. It could be called Plasma Pulse.

And these could be his taunts

Other characters I think should be in Smash Bros but haven't though of movesets for yet are Geno, Krystal from Star Fox, Midna, and Dixie Kong, Toon Zelda, and Took Sheik since they were supposed to be in Brawl but were left out.

I think it'd be funny if they put Crankie Kong in the game as an assist trophy, lol he could just annoy like Mr. Resett and the Nintendog. Awesome imagination btw :D If only Nintendo had ppl that think the way you do.Knight-Owl

Lol, he'd brag about how good he could be at the game if he was a playable character. Saying things like I could K.O everyone with only one life and take less than 10% damage :P And lecture us on how we should fight :D

Dude, this thread officially won the moment I saw Earthworm Jim. That. Was. Awesome! If the next SSB had just him in it, it would be a day one purchase for me. :lol: As for characters I'd like to see, I think the original Mega Man would be cool to have. With various moves from the Mega Man games at his disposal, I could see him working. I would also like to see the Black Knight from Fire Emblem 9 and 10 make his appearance, as he's just the kind of powerhouse that could strike fear into a lot of people. And since both Game&Watch and Toon Link, both characters with a unique art style, have made their showings, why not add Paper Mario to the mix? I think there's a lot of room for creativity with him as a character.

Still, the mind is buzzing over good ol' Jim. Many points for that and the awesome gifs. :D

A lot of good ideas there too. I was thinking the same thing about Mega Man, I decided on X though because he looks cooler :P Paper Mario would be awesome, great idea!

I wouldn't mind seeing Knuckles, although if they did add him I think he'd be an Assist Trophy like Shadow. What about Dr. Eggman though? I can picture his final smash being something like, he jumps into a giant robot/mech thing which you could control. He could walk around/fly in it shooting rockets or a giant laser beam at everyone. Or he could summon a bunch of Robots to attack/shoot everyone like King Dedede :P

More than a year later these still pop up. What about the characters that should've been in melee or mario kart 64?...

They should add some Disney characters and Sora from Kingdom Hearts and he was going to be on SSBB but for some reason he was removed, I don't know what his attacks could be but obviously they could be with the KeyBlade and his final smash would be transforming into his Final Form and fly around very fast dealing damagelike Super Sonic.

And they should add Amy Rose too, her attacks could be like the ones that DKand Kirbyuse:

B:Swing hammer like Kirby does.

Down B:Smack the ground with her hammer just like DK

Up B:She could swing her hammer like a helicopter to gain height just like DK but with a hammer

Side B:She couldpossibly throw her hammer like a boomerang

Final Smash:To be very powerful and fast like Wario-Man so her attacks could be more powerful

Are we talking Raiden from Mortal Kombat? I dont see any Mortal Kombat character coming into Brawl.

IMO I would like seeing Roy come back.

I'd like to see Travis Touchdown in a SSB game. He would have to be toned down; no cussing or being crude, but his final smash could be like Link's. He could go into dark side mode and repeatedly slash an enemy and an arrow would come up and he would do a lauching, finishing blow....

Jack

B:Chainsaw Slice-Slices with his chainsaw, can be charged up.

Side B:Charged punch-Like DK's punch.

Down B:Change weapon-Picks a random weapon (Katana, baseball bat, etc) that can be used for A attacks.

Up B-Rising Chainsaw:Rises upward with his chainsaw.

Final Smash-Overkill: Jack grabs a "caution" sign out of the ground, shoves it into the enemy, breaks their neck, slices them in half, then throws both halves at a rose bush:evil:

I don't really think 3rd-party characters should be in the game, but that barrier has been broken it seems. I mean what is the point really? It's called super smash BROS. for a reason - because it is set in the Nintendo 'universe'.

well ive thought about what characters id like to see and heres pretty much how i think the next smash bros roster should look, not everyone will like some choices im sure but its all IMO. And all the characters are important to nintendo's history in some way or form so here goes and i hope i don't forget any.

I think Ray MK III, Little Mac, Roy and Tingle should all be promoted from assist trophies to playable characters for the next game. I also think King K. Rool, Captain Syrup, Chibi Robo, Teddy (Mother), Battalion Wars 2 soldier (give it some pithy name), Professor Layton and Marina Liteyears should definetly get included next time, plus some more characters.

A few star wars characters such as Darth Vader ,Luke Skywalker, Starkiller, Obi-wan, Anakin and some other sith and jedi.

I always saw Mega Man as a blatent rip off of Samus.

Anyway, Ridly.:P

He could play like a quicker and less powerful bowser.

I hope in the next one they put King K. Rool and Geno in. The only outsider character I would want is Mega Man.1-Up_Gamer

There are so many of these threads but I will contribute to it anyways... There should only be one other 3rd party character, too many makes the game less of a Nintendo All Star Brawl... And who wouldnt want to see Megaman? Other Nintendo Caharcters: Geno Dixie Kong King K. Roll Little Mac Starfy Young Link (Majroa's mask) (Replace his move set with melee with a moveset similar to that of pokemon trainers, down B changes masks) Louie Black bull Rival pokemon trainer Claus Kat and Ana (Play like Ice Climbers) Takamaru and as long as it has been rumored...Professor Layton :PWaffle_Fish

Theyneed to bring Dr. Mario back! Also, I'd like to have Petey Pirahna as a playable character, not as just a boss to beat.

Ridley is the only deserving character I can think of.

Paula from Earthbound.

There are quite a few moves in the game that she could have. Like the Ice magic attack that no one uses from the game (but she specialized in) could be her --> and B attack. Hitting people with the teddy bear you could buy in the shopping malls could be her B attack. Maybe her Down and B attack could enable the Franklin badge and protect her from lightning-based attacks. As for her third jump, I'm unsure how they could make that special.

But maybe having Paula in it would be less than likely seeing as Lucas is in the "Brawl" now. :P

I haven't played that game and I'm glad he's in it but I've been dreaming of Paula in it since after Melee came out. I even have my own drawings of who could have been in the 3rd incarnation (which is now Brawl).

I actually have that book somewhere but I don't know where it is. Starman from Earthbound could be in it (I drew him), Dixie from DKC2 could be in it (drew her also). There are many but I don't remember.

Oh yeah. I made Sonic too. haha. And he made it!
