Do you think Super Smash or Metroid Actually have a chance at Game of the Year....or do you think Halo 3 prettymuch already has a chance...and that Nintnedo will never get another GOTY game?
Wouldn't this question be a little better suited in the general gaming forums? Chances are, most people here like Nintendo, so they'll pick a Nintendo game. I haven't done much research on Halo 3, nor have I played a Halo game, but it looks like it has a really good chance. Being more of a Nintendo guy, though, I'll just vote for SSBB, although my opinion shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Gamespot staff decide on Game Of The Year, not the users
No an extremely extremely small chance. I love SSB games (One of my favorite series) but GS doesn't feel the same way. GS gave the first one a 7.5 and second 8.9.
I do think it will be game of the year. Super Smash bros. melee was a top 10 and favorite for like 2 years. And now that this new game is going to come out it will be game of the year. At the other hand I do believe Halo 3 has a good shot.
I dont think there has ever been a fighting game called the GOTY, and there probaly never will be. I would say off the top of my head, I would say it will be between Metroid, Mario, Halo, Bio Shock, Mass Effect, Too Human, things like that.
Well I think it is far to early to say which is going to be game of the year since none of those games have been released yet. But if I have to say which will most likely get GOTY it will be Halo. I don't think it will get GOTY on GS. Possibly Wii GOTY, but not GOTY.
I'm sorry to say it, but Super Smash Bros will never be GOTY material
GOTY is traditionally and exclusively given to games with epic story lines, so either metroid prime 3 or halo 3... usually goes to the one that gets more hype, just as long as it isn't rubbish... if it ends up a bit meh, then it will still probably get it
