I'm sure by the time november comes around, they're will be more details on whether or not brawl will be coming out that year. If its not than you should definately get Melee.
If you have a gamecube and you still don't have melee, you should get it as soon as possible, especially if you have some friends or siblings to play with. (Plus, it's probably only $20ish)
Nah, buy both. Even if the new one comes out, it's not going to be the same. I remember reading that some of the characters in Melee wont be in Brawl. Also, it easier to get 4 GC controllers together than 4 Wiimotes + whatever they are going to use [nunchuck or classic].DarkKefka
oh really! one of the reasons i was looking at getting brawl instead of melle was because i thought that it would have the chracters from melee plus more new ones.

Get Super Smash Bros. Melee, Brawl probably won't come until early 2008. I also wouldn't expect Zelda to drop in price until much later...Flipnblack
Dang it, I pre-ordered it too. I could have spent that money on something else.
Getting on topic, buy Melee. I've had it since my 10th B-Day. I'm 14 now and I play it still on a regular basis.
