Anyone swapped them yet? If so how long does it take once you have confirmed it on the website? I thought it would be instantanious but it's been several hours so far.

My account is linked to my Wii shop but I have no access to the email address as it is my old one, do they send you an email and you have to click confirm before you get the points?

They dont e-mail you the code, you just log in to the Star Points - Wii Points site, select how many points you wanna buy and then when you're back at the page where you select which card, you go to 'Your Wii Points Card-codes' at the right and there is the code.

Are you American?

"While Club Nintendo is everywhere, there has been the question why there is not in the US. An interview with Perrin Kaplan asks why, she replies that area of the US is much larger than all the other club nintendo countries and that the cost-wise it would be very expensive. Kaplan also said the pre-order bonuses and game registration promos are an alternative for Club Nintendo."

- Club Nintendo wiki

That's dumb, there aren't that many pre-order bonuses or registration promos. They had one for "if you buy a certain amount of games get 3 free nintendo power magazines". As for pre-order bonuses, Galaxy had a couple, but it's not like it's a common thing. I'd much rather get wii points..

I still think they should at least give us in the US some incentive though for buying Wii games and registering them say maybe like 100-200 Wii points for every Wii game bought and registered. I don't see why they couldn't impliment something like that here in the states if they won't give us the full Club Nintendo program.

Stop complaining we have to pay over the odds for everything over here at current exchange rates we pay anything from $59 to $79 for a game and I personaly would prefer to have cheaper games and use the money saved from that on wii points.

I think Australia pays the more in conversion terms maybe not the console but everything else, and we have no rewards on anything at all, you sign up to Nintendo Australia you reward is a mario wallpaper and thats it.

I wonder if I registered on nintendo Eu which I did in Jan and got some star points would it work on this Wii from australia?, Since its PAL?

I will try.

No, it wouldn't be able to register any games unless you imported Euro games.

Once I purchase the game, do I have to save them on a SD card? What type of SD cards are the Wii compatible with? And, how big are games?

you dont have to save it on a SD card, u can save it on ur wii (if u have enough free space). if u purchased a game once u can also download it again, if u deleted it. i've sometimes read the statement that there are only SD cards up to 2GB compatible, but i also heard people saying that they used bigger cards.. u can see how big the games are in the wii shop. it depends.

i say we us have it better, from what he says 250 star points per game but youd have to buy 2 games just to reach 100 points your better off just getting the wii point card, for 1999, alot cheaper then paying 100 for the games you dont want per say wii music, if you run out of games like mario galaxy, etc,

theres not that many nintendo made wii games yet, to warrant some sort of thing such as that, your better off paying the fee for the card it self instead of well getting only 1 00 points per 2 games, and theres nothing on wii shop for 100 points,

500 is the least ive seen it, 1200 is the highest,

so you gotta buy over 20 titles just to get somthing ,
