Link.

It's a dev interview and they are talking about the Wii, PS2, PSP and DS seperatly. The Wii version is the first to be talked about.

Looks alright.

The Wii Version looks like the best rendition of the game.

One-to-one lightsaber combat?This'll either be a great step-up for the Wii,or a tiring,tacked-on disaster.

I saw a big spreadsheet explaining all the different and specific motions for specific actions. That's very much the opposite of "waggle". If you want to be a lazy gamer, just admit that.

I saw it too. Its not one to one. Its swing left and right for slashing left and right, up and down for up and down, and a jab motion -- similar to Dragonblade = Lame.

One to one would be terrible, considering most gamers are not accomplished swordsmen. That would be like having to dissassemble your controller to clear a jam in a FPS.

one to one comment was to VG. I wont judge the control scheme yet, but it sounds like waggle to me. Im still far more interested in the PS3/360 versions than the Wii version. The control scheme has to be really satisfying for me to consider it over the others.

Yeah there's lots of waggle. Through the physics aren't as bad as I thought it would and using the force with the nunchuck looks cool.

Still I'm not really that interested in the game tbh... I was just posting the info.

The extra levels and the dueling appeals to me more than a few extra shiny objects.

Im not interested in the shiny objects. The whole game is about how good the physics engines are, yet the Wii is unable to completely handle those two. Its going to be a gimped version of the game, even if it has 'extra levels and dueling' it takes away from what the game is trying to accomplish.

They just want more money.

I may pick this game up. and... I knowI posted in a topic exactly like this... ah well, I'll post what said there here :P [QUOTE="ZumaJones07"]Believe it or not...I have never watched a Star Wars movie, I never once wanted to, and the only characters I know from the series are Luke, Darth Vader, Princess Leia , that hairy monster that sounds cool, and those two robots - the gold and short ones. The closest thing to Star Wars that I've watched is the Family Guy episode/movie. I have only played the demo version of a Star Wars game on the demo disk that was included with my copy of Mario Kart: Double Dash! Now you know how much of a noob I am when it comes to Star Wars. I gotta say that the controls to that game appear to be fun as hell and I'd definitely consider picking this up for the potential awesomeness it may be. I may be lost with the story and such, but I think I'd have fun with this game. Lets just hope the controls aren't clunky and it's a decently long game that'll challenge me

Graphics and physics look plenty sufficient to me. Controls sound good but it doesn't mean they'll actually work well in action. And of course the game it'self should be awsome.

What about online though? I'm sure it's been discussed before, too tired to look now. Is it supposed to have online, any confirmation?

Yes, it has an online dueling mode for the Wii. Beyond that, I don't know.

Not sure about online for the Wii, but I know that XBox360 and PS3 don't have multiplayer for this game, unless something changes between now and release.

When I first heard of the game back a few months ago, I simply assumed failure. But slowly as time passes, the game looks more promising with each video and review. The one question that surrounds me is "Does the motion sensing respond and respond well?" We shall see :|

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. If nothing else, I know Lucasarts loves money so they'll want to make sure it's better than terrible.

Its really a tough call, the engines in the PS3 version sounds solid, and for a game using the star wars liscense, visuals are important. Because the movies are obviously well known for visual quality. However the Wii version has the duel mode which gives the game a ton more replay value (although it sucks that there is no Yoda, Emperor, or Darth Maul's dual sided light sabre) and of course the controls. I really like the idea of blocking, but it would be better if they had really gone all out with it. Like having to block high, low, behind your back etc.

Graphics look dull and washed out on the Wii version (I'm sorry, I know gameplay is more important than graphics, blah blah blah), but I'm really tired of this port nonsense. I'll rent it for sure, maybe just borrow a copy, but I'm really hesitant to buy just because it's a port.

I'm hating the existence of the PS2 more and more.

Wow, that was a great video regardless of what you might think of it. Thanks for posting it!

Honestly in some ways I'm happy that the game seems to be visually better than the PS2 a bit, but also disappointed that it doesn't look even better than it does. Why would it not look as good as Galaxy or Metroid? It just baffles me. However the entirety of the story, and controls and implementaion of the Force is too exciting to pass up. If anything this video definitely makes me feel justified in buying the Wii version more so than before. I have to be kind of a graphics snob with the Wii nowadays since A) I've already had my prrof that the controls can create a next gen experience no other console can do. B ) because we've already seen amazing next gen visual from games like th afformentioned Metrdoi and Mario and C) given the first two reasons and the fact that system is powerfull in it's own right, it's just time for devs to start putting effort into that facet of game making. I love showing my buds a beautiful Wii game so they can see what it's capable of. While TFU looks good like I said, I know it can look better so here's hoping.

I will be getting no matter what however.

Only thing I'm really worried about are controls... As all of us wii owners are sure to know, sometimes the motion sensitiveness is unresponsive...

Can't wait for this game none-the-less

yeah I saw it but I'm not buying it, maybe it will be great but I've seen most Wii trailers all of them try to make us believe the on screen sword has 1:1 movement and when we try it theres only vertical and horizontal slash

I think the PS3/360 version will offer the most. The Wii version looks interesting, but its nothing special. Its hard to tell by the control layout if it will be as good as it looks. I will probably buy it on the PS3 or 360 and rent it on the Wii. It just looks meh on the Wii.

honestly physics engins aren't a revolutionary feature, never will be unless your going to do a Half Life and create lots of physics based puzzles, physics based vehicles, physics based weaponry and attacks. Now that's revolutionary... but like I said half life 2 already did that, near to 3 years ago

and enemies grabbing onto boxes isn't revolutionary either, it's also known as stick hands, all they've done is "hand (or floating point) collides with corner - hand stays there (fixed point)" at best the physics will run dry quickly and you'll be left with yet another obi-wan...

I only say these things cos haziquonfire is clearly just trying to insult this version. I dunno which will be better, but I'm willing to bet the novelty of playing a close as it gets to being a jedi, will be a lot more long term than the novelty of enemies grabbing boxes. (there are only really 2 physics engins btw, the third on they described was just a series of pred determined breaking or distrubance effects, there is euphoria and havok)

Euphoria sounds like it might be funny the first couple of times, but in the end, it seems like it would really get silly and annoying. I'd rather have quality motion controls and lightsaber duels.

Thoses physics in the PS3/360 may be a novelty but it's not like waggle controls are much better. Let's see first if the controls are said to be responsive. From the vid, it looks ok at best.

Through I didn't know that only the Wii version has multiplayer, just like the Wii version of Ghostbusters. That's a big exclusive feature imo.

it looks cool, the DS version looks a lil sketch to me though
