Still no word on Ace Attorney Investigations 2? Are Capcom really abandoning it?

It's uncanny, really. It always seems like every game I potentially want ends up not coming Stateside which I have to admit kinda makes me want it more. For example I was interested in Tales of Vesperia for the ps3 since I hear it's a nice game, but unfortunately the ps3 version was never released in North America, and I just don't see myself buying another console for one game.

Anyhoo, background introduction aside I really was pleasantly surprised with Ace Attorney Investigations last year when I played it for the first time. I admit I was ready to brush it off as a subpar spin-off but it was actually quite enjoyable.

The fact that Capcom opted to not localize AAI 2 is really saddening. I just don't know why they wouldn't localize it despite it not being a 10 million dollar seller like they apparently expect all their titles to be. I though the Ace Attorney series was popular what with their being a new Ace Attorney + Professor Layton crossover of sorts, so you'd think Capcom would do right by its fans.

I don't know. Was I the only person who was looking forward to AAI 2? Anyone else wish it had been localized and brought over in English?

Maybe we should start some sort of campaign to get Capcom to listen to reason... no, that would never work. :(

Sadly they won't listen. They say that AAI sold poorly in the west which is why they are not localizing it. I still hope they are releasing the game for the DS/3DS or at least for digital download. But it doesn't hurt starting a campaign though.

it wasn't going to happen and now with GS5 in the works theres no point

as much as i loved AAI (more than apollo at least) i know it wasn't widely recieved as an addition to the series

so even if AAII came out it would be a waste of money

Capcom has become a running joke in the gaming community and they don't even care. If a game isn't a huge hit they just abandon it. It's why Capcom stopped releasing Street Fighter for a while, they kept miliking the same game and when people stopped buying it, they stopped making games for the series all together rather than doing something different. Same with the MegaMan Battle Network/Star Force games. (They were decent, but essentially the same game, different story.)
