I would wait. I bought SF 2 this past weekend while a friend was over. And while it did bring back great memories and was fun, I was trying to perform moves that arent even available in the game!!! Plus, the speed is slow (used to Turbo) and only 8 characters and playable. I would wait for Turbo, and wish I would have, I am sure it will be available down the road.
As for controllers, the GC controller works OK with this game, but the C lassic is better. I only have one, so we took turns using the wavebird. Its not bad, but the C lassic works so much better and with most of the games on the VC as well. DKC and DKC2 are almost unplayable with the GC controller, for example.
Spend the $20 on the C lassic controller. Its more than worth it...in fact, its one of the best controllers ever, IMO.Â
I would wait....but you should definetly get the Classic Controller, it works soooo much better.readymix347
Yeah it doesn't work too good with the GC controler, I mean it feels much better when you play with the Classic controler.Â
yeah..i got street fighter 2 for VC using the gamecube controller and it was fun at first, but i was disappointed. the gamecube controls just don't do the game justice, ifor some reason couldn't get past vega, and in a fit of frustration ran off and bought a classic controller and flew through the game no problem. so i would definately recommend the classic controller over the gamecube controller for most VC games. it feels so much like the old super nintendo controller.
also about street fighter 2, it plays really slow. i would almost recommend waiting for street fighter 2 turbo as there's so much more you can do in it, and it plays more fluidly (if i remember correctly).Â
