Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 ported to the 3DS? is it possible?

Just wondering if it were technically possible for the wii SMG games to be ported to 3DS. would love for this to happen. SMG on the go will be awesome.

I know that graphically it would have to be kicked back. Take that as you will.

It won't happen because the 3DS will get an unique Mario game based on the Galaxy universe.

But since you're asking - it would be possible but not without graphical sacrifices (since 3DS doesn't have quite the polygon-pushing power the Wii has).

It would be interesting to see if it could be done. pixel for pixel. I would like Nintendo to make an original 3DS Mario game however. They did port over Mario 64 to the original DS. (Which was a kinda portable N64) so the 3DS could at least be akin to the gamecube. For processing power. So it might be close to the wii in [power[

Possible? Sure, but likely? No.

The team that made super mario galexy 1&2 are making an original super mario game for the 3DS. Miyamoto said that it combines the styles of galexy and Super Mario 64, and maybe even New super mario bros (the last bit I dont think is comfirmed). Tanooki Mario makes his return too!

Well from what we've seen of Mario 3DS it does seem that they ported the engine. Thats not a bad thing. The engine is merely a framework that they build their game on. I'm sure Nintendo won't port the game itself tho.

I Wish they did this with new wii games coming out.
