Super Mario Galaxy Vs. New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Yeah I am one of those oddballs who enjoyed New Super Mario Bros Wii more then Galaxy. Why? Simply how much fun it was too kill your teamates and the multiplayer as a whole was just so enjoyable :)

Which is the better Mario game for Wii?

I'm personally far more fond of New Super Mario Bros. Wii

+NSMBW is much MUCH tougher which makes those 1-ups and coins incredibly important. Everything is actually important in this game

+NSMBW has much better and tightly created level designs. Accuracy in level design is always a lot easier in 2D and it shows

+NSMBW has the star coins and secret exits that make you want to play and master every single levelgiving this game far more lasting appeal than Galaxy

- NSMBW, however, does not compare to Galaxy's graphics and soundtrack

So as you can see, NSMBW has it where it counts for me. What are your thoughts?

You are basically asking which is better between 2-D and 3-D even though the gameplay between the two styles are completely different.

Galaxy fo sho, I find the 3-d gameplay to be aloooooot deeper and just overall better!

If New Super Mario Brothers Wii had the production values of Mario Galaxy, I wouldnt care for Galaxy. 3D Mario titles lost something in translation imo.

Hmmmm...

Galaxy:

-better visuals and music

-something different

-more length.

NSMBW:

-while not hard, still provides more challenge than galaxy

-Seeing the Koopa Kids again is awesome and made me feel like I was playing SMB3, which is my favorite Mario game ever. Pretty nolstalgic

-Has a nice multiplayer mode.

Pretty tough choice, honestly. BUt I supppose I'll givee the edge to Galaxy, but both are amazing games.

Looks like some of you guys are too young to remember where mario came from. Graphics don't make the game.

Like that one guy said, mario 64 ruined mario for me. New Supermario Bros wii is the mario ive been waiting for since Super Mario World.

i cant decide, both games are different and both are amazing games

i consider mario galaxy as far catchy than new super mario bros! probably 'cause the first introduces some new playing features that the second one don't.
