I didn't care about the original enough to even finish it. So I'm not exactly clamoring for a 3DS port.
I wouldnt mind but it would be the same thing as Majoras Mask remake. I would have no intrest in getting it. I personally didnt like Sunshine at all.
I would like it, and its possible since next year would be 10 years, but with SM3DL coming out I'd doubt they do it so soon, but maybe
I think, and hope Nintendo is done with remakes for now.
What I would tolerate is Metroid Prime 10th Anniversary 3D Edition next fall.
I wouldn't buy the game but I know others would like it. So I wouldn't mind seeing it hit the 3DS some time down the road.
I dont see it happening. Remakes of Mario games seem rather point less as the all share the same mechanics
Any other Mario game and I would agree with you, but Sunshine is by far the most unique Mario (platformer). The F.L.U.D.D mechanics where never used before or after that game, and yet they work really well, if we don't see a remake (which I myself do doubt) I would love to get another Mario game that we can use F.L.U.D.D in even if it only for one or two levels, but a full blown sequel to Sunshine would be best, as it by far my favorite in game in the series.I dont see it happening. This. SMS was just boring. It hardly even felt like a Mario game to me. I did like the concept of it though, Mario taking a vacation, but the game just didn't click with me for some reason. I got maybe a 1/4 of the way through it and ended up selling it.
I wouldn't mind seeing a bunch of GameCube and N64 games re-released as portable versions similar to all the SNES remakes you see on the GBA. That said, given the choice between, say, five remakes of great Game Cube games and one all-new game, I'd go w/ the one all-new game.
What would be really awesome though is a single card that contained a bunch of old Mario games on it. Something like Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES.
It could work, but I think it'd be better if Nintendo waited on that for a few years and focused more on new Mario games for a while. Remakes are good in moderation, but if they make up most of the system's good games then it's not really worth buying a 3DS.
It takes hardly any effort to port an old game. Not only that, but they could easily outsource the job to a company like GREZZO, which proved their might with Ocarina 3D. So, and it might be too much, I would like Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, and maybe the original Luigi's Mansion (to coincide with the sequel of course) on their by the end of the 3DS's lifespane.
