Let your Wii cool off...take a break from it. It only happened to me once while playing Super Paper Mario (seems to be the most common amongst players) in Chapter 4-1. The only way to end the buzzing and restart my Wii was to pull the plug (trust me).
This happened a few years ago with my Gamecube as well...but only twice. I have no explanation as to why it does this...my only solution is to either take a break from your Wii or call Nintendo (and tell them that you are certainly not the only person with this problem).
But it's not the system. It has to be a software error. That would be one of the only possible explanations since it happened with my Gamecube a while back. That, and most people are having this error with Super Paper Mario. I've herad of one person having this happen to them while playing Twilight Princess for the Wii, but that's about it.
Come to think of it I remember someone saying it happened to them with their Playstation 2, and another person replied saying that he thought it was a TV error--that the TV was causing those problems...which could be another possibility. I personally don't see this as a huge problem as it doesn't really happen to me very often at all. It's happened a total of 3 years to me in roughly 5 years...but your case, it freezing very often I would definitely call Nintendo and get this fixed right away.

you sound like your situation is similar to mine, the only way to stop it is to unplug it
(actually the power on the remote doesnt work, but on the system it does now)Â
im in chapter 7-3
and the only other game to freeze my system was SSX Blur I believe
Â
infact, it was very hot after I first discovered this problem.. but I wasn't even playing that long
the next day i tried it again to see if it was a heat issue, but it still gave me problems
in my case though, it's EVERY time I try to progress in this game... maybe I'll try hooking the set up to another TV
Â
im on the phone with them right now actually, i gotta say, they're really helpful
they're gonna send me something so I can ship the game to them for free... then they can see if its a software or hardware issue when they send me back a repaired gameÂ
