...Clubhouse Games (or 42 All-Time Classics if you happen to be in Europe).

There's a lot to like about this little gem. It's probably offers the best value for money of any title full stop, with 42 different card, board and variety games to fiddle around with, a strong single-player mode, 30 incredibly challenging missions and both local and Wi-Fi multiplayer modes. Not at all bad considering it retails at £10 less than most DS games and has more features than they do (oh how Mario Hoops 3-on-3 would have been so much better for it).

The games included on the cart are a diverse range, spanning addictive card games Texas hold Em, Hearts, Spades, I Doubt It (you may know it as 'BS') and a ludicrously hard Solitaire to brilliant board games, with Chess and Ludo proving to be particularly effective timewasters. There are also a few attempts at some more novelty 'action' and variety titles and while they aren't all successful or that deep, they are surprisingly effective and accomplished. Darts and Word Balloon, effectively a version of Hangman, have me constantly coming back for another go.

That it is so easy to pick up and play makes it stand out for me amongst other titles which require a bit more time to invest in. Clubhouse Games is brilliant for having a quick five to ten minute burst with on the train, bus stop or at a quiet time in the office. For me it is also a great way of discovering card and board games I never had the chance to play as a kid. I never knew what Ludo was before now but I'm glad I discovered it now!

So, does anyone else share the love for Clubhouse Games? Or do you have a DS game which you want to big up as it seems to be receiving little to no attention on the forums? Please share with the board what hidden classics on the DS you feel deserve a place in anyone's collection!

I'm glad I hear someone else saying that they love this game, as I can't get enough of it. My favorite game in the bunch is Connect 5. I used to play it all the time when I was a kid, and I'm glad to say that the game still hasn't gotten old. I also like the way you progress in the game, as the stamps amuse me (they remind me of when I was in elementary school, and I got the stars for good work). Good all-around game with lots of replay potential. Not to mention Wifi.

I bought this game and never play, I have a Pogo account for these kinda games, and some of these games were just done badly, not to say some of the games weren't done very well, just not great for me.

I'm glad I forced myself to pick it up. I was a bit wary about CHG at first, but the more I read about it.. the more I wanted to try it.

Definitely an awesome deal for your buck and the WiFi extends the replay value exponentially.. plus it got my mom playing videogames, ha.

Great game, though.

It's a toss up really. I haven't gotten a feeling from completing a DS game like I have with a console game. But I suppose if I had to pick one, I would go with Mario Kart. Metroid a SOLID second.

I adore Clubhouse Games. So much variety and great for when I don't have a lot of time but want to have a little DS fun.

I couldn't agree with you more; this game was my personal DS Game of last year, and it's my favorite DS multiplayer game.  It's a shame that a lot of people just ignore it.
