The Bigger DS is SOOOO much better than DS Lite...

The only thing DS lite has over regular DS is the screen is brighter, bigger, and better...

other than that the Big one is a lot better...

the Lite is so damn small...its so uncomfortable to hold in my hand...the Big DS is bigger and my hands arent so cramped..

So in conclusion Big DS is for real Men...DS lite is for little kids..

I played both about a year ago. I guarantee I got bigger hands than yo and I thought the little one was better..

gotta disagree, stylus, volume control, power switch and buttons are better on the lite. plus the screen, i to have big hands but i hold the lite easily, yours are probably bigger than mine if you like the phat better. also the lite is lighter and sleeker and more portable and pocket friendly. IDK about the sound, always used headphones for my DS. also the lite can use the e-card thing-a-ma-bob for the GBA while the phat cant (my friend told me).

I dont even think the brighter screen is the best new feature of the lite. I think its the bigger stylus, also the new location of the power switch(i dont think i could live if i accidentally turned my ds off on the big ds one more time.)

Also i have owned both, my big ds is broken though....due to elite beat agents but anyways lite is better in everyway.

I have owned both and I have concluded that you sir are an idiot. In no way is the "big DS" asa you call it better, the screen is too dark and there is an awful glare. You obviously just made this post because you are too poor to buy a DS Lite or you dont even own a DS and instead a PSP, but your friend claims that it is indeed a "Nintendo DS". And there is nothing manly at all about having big hands, it just meens that you are a gorilla and need to be checked into the local zoo. By the way, I would definitely suggest getting either your eyes checked or seeing a shrink.

Besides its not, Lite owns it in every way. 

The big ds pwns the lite so i dont know what u guys r talking about, i have the lite and the "big ds" and whenever i play the lite i feel like its gonna break whenever i press a button. ive dropped my big ds about 4 times on concrete, one time it feel while down screen first and nothing happened to it. with the lite though, it came with the cracked hinge and a messed up right shoulder button, and it wasnt even a used ds lite i bought it from gamestop. so in my mind, though the lite had various improvements, the durablity of the ds lite went down hill and there for the big ds is the winner. x)flores638

I happened to find the fat DS very uncomfortable simply because it was shaped in such an awkward way that you'd have to have deformed, not large, hands to be able to play comfortably for more than about 30 minutes. The DS lite, though basically rectangular (which typically isn't that comfortable of a shape to hold for very long in the way you hold a DS), is much more comfortable for my rather large hands. Hand size has almost nothing to do with how comfortable a controller/handheld is to use. Button placement and shape of the controller/console are what makes comfort. Look at the XBOX 360 or Gamecube controller. Those are widely viewed by people of nearly every size as the most comfortable controllers for any console.

Being someone who could palm a regulation sized basketball at age 10, you can imagine that in the 10 years that have passed since then that they have grown quite a bit more. The old DS nor the DS lite isn't for "Manly Men". It's a matter of preference based on shape/button placement.
