it depends what sort of games u like...the DS is bring mainly RPGs out which im not really into ( il play 1 or 2 )...

i completely agree with you though..although alot of people do like the games that are coming out..

I just think nintendo need to bring good games out other than RPGs

The DS failed me aswell, I got one because the GBA with Pokemon and Goldensun was a good purchase. But the new Pokemon sucked and brought the child factor to a new unnecessary level, there isnt a Goldensun and every other RPG so far wasnt good at all.

You can say something like go to the PSP board but fact is I bought an expensive toy without getting the value I hoped for. Maybe ill trade it in, but Rune Factory was ok and while the sequel is years away from an EU release Ill probably will wait for that. Apart from that Anno 1701 for DS was a good game aswell.

Well, Final Fantasy 4 just came out, Dragon Warrior 4 is coming in September, Chrono Trigger later this year...Castlevania is also coming.

Maybe you havent noticed but the pokemon serie wasnt as childish when it first was released, it was a lot harder and the st yle wasnt childish either. The latest pokemons look more childish, the graphics are more cartoony for no good reason and especially the gameplay has gotten all kinds of childish add-ons instead of making the core gameplay better. I really couldnt get into it, after 10 hours I stopped playing and threw it on the pile of DS failures that I bought in the hope of making the DS a good purchase. But I have to add I played Pokemon Gold on the GBA which immediatly made it a great purchase even if it was a GBC game.

I tried some Nintendo RPG but I just dont like the st yle of DS RPG, especially FF3 which I hated. Maybe importing it from the US for an higher price didnt help much either but I really thought it could atleast come close to Goldensun. I dont know why your calling my post ignorant since I was just telling my experience and I didnt say anything that I had no understanding of. I might try FF4 when it comes out here but I heared it had even less costumization then FF3.

What are you talking about, there have been awesome DS games since the Wii came out. It's the DS that's keeping my Nintendo hopes alive actually, since I'm disappointed with the Wii.

Thats why I dont understand some of the responses, the TC (and I) just gave our DS experience, we never said the DS is a failure. I know there are plenty of good games out there but they arent for me. I think the GBA had more different kind of games, Nintendo is going into a direction where I cant follow them so Im not buying their next handheld.

Castlevania, intrested me on that list nothing else really. You forgot a couple games like Kirby.

Too TC you do know that there is one topic labeled "the DS failed me" every couple months. If it failed you buy a PSP or just sell it, and don't buy a PSP. People could really care less.

I suggest looking for any game distributed by Atlus because we had an RPG flood from them in the last couple of months.

I only own like 6 DS games, and I am perfectly content with my DS. But I've never believed that handheld games are "real" games (I know they are as much real as any other game but they dont have the graphics which to me even if its not entirely true = cheaper and easier to make) therefore I don't expect much out of them. I am very choosey with my purchases for DS and I am very happy with my very tiny library. :)

Also what's with everyone flipping out over Chrono Trigger's release? It looks like no work was done at all for it. I am honestly tired of releasing older games on new mediums.... Either put the work in to completely revamp the game (FFIV) or make a new game entirely with the same characters (Crisis Core)

I think it's just the nostalgia factor.

I didn't play the original and wasn't really looking forward to this one either because of square and there tendency to make you grind levles. But I asked around and people said you don't need to grind in this game, so now I'm fairly excited.

Word. If your gunna talk smack against the DS, take it to "system wars" or something, not a forum FULL of Nintendo players.(but the attention part is kinda working...sadly)
