Yeah, 8.5 is a good score - its just people figure they have to be 9.0+ to be really good.

And I remember I got mad too when Corruption got an 8.5 - but more so with the reasoning, of it feeling the same old same old as the other two Prime titles. Though now I don't really care about reviews too much.

Nah, that goes for all consoles this generation.

Score of 8.5 = "The reviews are horrible! I might give it a rent or wait till it's being sold for $3.99 at Target."

Score of 9.0 = "OMG an AA title!!!! Game of the year!! I just placed my preorder!!"

Like a .5 makes that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

The average GS review score for my Wii library is 7.7, and the lowest rated game in my library got a 4.5. Forget 0.5; scores don't make any difference for me at all. :P

The thing is, with Corruption many were content to just ignore GS as usual since it was getting much more positive reviews elsewere. However, MOM appears to actually deserve it's score, as most other sites gave it a similiar one. Not that it's a bad score, just not as good as Metroid generally is.Head_of_games

I think a lot of reviewers expecting it to be something it's not - A lot wanted it to be more open, like Super Metroid, but that's not exactly easy to do if you're trying to tell a story. Most of the reviews so far, just make it sound really similar to Fusion - Which makes me happy, because I loved Metroid Fusion.

Anyway regarding last night I literally felt nothing until I had had a third shot. Also I feel nothing resembling a hangover this morning which is good but I really wasn't expecting one since I really didn't feel much last night.snowman6251

Oh, it's fun. Well, can be. This morning was one of the rare and elusive "Hmm... this isn't my house, and you're not my roommate" type mornings for me.

At least I was in walking distance to my apartment, and subway for breakfast and coffee.

Ehhh it's been the same price since it launched, not many other things have stayed the same price for that long

For me I think it's fine, with ESPN and others coming to the 360 I can understand it and if 10 bucks a month is really going to break anyone they need to go over their finances and pick a hobby that meets their economic situation, in other words gaming is not for them.
