Its pretty much a direct port of the original Theme Park which i owned for the pc welll over a decade ago. I loved the game when i was younger, but a direct port loses about 25% of the review. It uses touch screen well, although you get messages flashing up all over the place if you choose to have an assistant and it suffers from the sim-numbness you get from a sandbox game eventually, but i really enjoy it... been playing it for a couple of days now! I just wish there were some additions beyond exchanging profiles over wifi. That said its got a lot of nostalgia for me, being a game I played well over a decade ago, and on several platforms since. Its a good port, but there are no additions to the gameplay, so I have to give it a 70/100 since i've played it all before, many times. Its a shame they didn't bother to add new rides, modes, settings, fix the problems with it like the dumb ai for some of the douches, because i like the interface. As far as sims/theme games go, its one of the better ones. Why such fond memories, its a good hook for a sims game, there's lots of management, you research and build new rides and have to keep them ticking over with mechanics, you have to hire staff and plot paths for handymen, etc. You have freedom to lay out your rides where ever you want, akin to sim city, although given its age its pretty limited on what you can do for the most part. If you want a full sim game you can meddle in stock shares, there's staff and goods union negotiations, etc. You start off with a park in britain but the more money and value it gets the more places you unlock that have some unique attractions. Its a good, light, well rounded sim-style game game. Still one of the best, infact. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theme_Park_(computer_game)
