Yeah I don't care as long as it comes. Besides Wii has a long time to live. If they gave out all the games in the first 2 years then it wouldn't be very strategic. I'm looking forward to see what the Wii has to offer for the rest of its lifespan. Just think. Wii hasn't even been out for a year yet and it's got loads of games coming out with more pretty much each week, online seems to be getting established, cool new things for Wii like the balance board, Wii zapper, and Wii steering wheel, and so much more. By the time the Nintendo's next gen console comes out, the Wii will probably have loads of channels, Wii Ware things, Virtual Console will be packed with games, it'll have some really good quality games and games that may outshine Galaxy's graphics, and it'll probably have more peripherals as well. Plus DS to Wii connectivity hasn't been used yet except for with PBR and that was decent.
So yeah. What were we talking about again? Oh yeah Zelda. Yeah it's rumoured to be in works and has been since the Wii was announced and even before TP was released. Only time will tell.
So? Zelda is getting pretty stale if you ask me. It's not my favorite Nintendo Franchise anyway. I'll skip the next Zelda game unless we get sailing back(and not that crappy kind thats suppose to be in Phantom Hourglass) or they introduce some real changes to the series.
Now bring on Mario Kart, Smash Bros. and Mario Galaxy. And revive Earth Bound while your at it, Nintendo.
i knew they wouldnt announce/show a new zelda at this years e3(they just came out with tp you need time to make sales before you announce a new product), i dnt know why everyone was anticapating it. I dont think a new zelda will be out for at least another 4 years. they might show some footage in 2 years maybe.Minishdriveby
Since it takes at least 3 years to make a zelda game and currently no zelda being developed for the Wii right now, i'd say we have a long wait ahead of us. We will have to wait and see what a true Zelda experience on the Wii might be like. Twilight Princess doesn't count because it was a port of the Gamecube version and the controls were tacked on, also the game was not buit ground up for Wii. I would say we might not even see a trailer for it until 1 or 2 years from now. Worst case scenrario is that they are going to make the next zelda game a launch title for their next system.cobrax80hey buddy its not a port.if its a port how come it came out for the wii a month before the gamecube version

Enjoy what you have right now. Metroid is very much a futuristic Zelda game. And Phantom Hourglass is well on its way. Sure you want a 'true' Wii Zelda game. Right now it seems like it would be super awesome if the next Zelda game suddenly came out tomorrow. But by the time it does come out I doubt you will keep that same enthusiasm. The next Zelda hasn't even been announced yet! So yeah enjoy what you have today and stop worrying about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself.
I've often wondered what it would be like if Mario 64 would of been like if it was set in the Zelda universe instead of having a dungion/temple in every region, make the region the dungion with 7 or 8 quests in each region with the idea of collecting triforce chards instead of stars.
Koroki forrest region: complete each quest for a triforce piece
1 save the korok and the kork cheif in the lostwoods
2 inside the deku-tree (Weapon quest): you found "the bow" now kill parsyte moster
3 kill the skull kid on the deku tree: win droped skull kid command wand
4 rebuild koroki village: use the korok as pikmen to rebuild koroki village
5 race the chief in the lost woods (timed)
6 find the fairy mound and warp point
7 compleate NPC side quests
well you get the idea for the rest

It has been announced already. First, Myamoto said that TP was the last Zelda of it's kind, then look for a recent article of the matter at IGN. The new Zelda has already been in production for some times now.. so expected to hear form it at the next E3 (or whatever it will be)

I mean, they started TP before WW was even released.
