I currently own a PS3 but nowadays, my attention keeps shifting to the Wii.  I am really interested in playing Zelda:TP, Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy, and SSBB.  Although I have always been a huge Sony fan and would hate to miss out on FF XIII and MGS4, I'm thinking of selling the PS3.  I can't say I like the marketing strategy of the PS3 up to now and although littlebigplanet and Home look amusing, I still like the Wii.  I also think that by FF XIV, the FF series will be multiplatform with the PS3 and the XBOX360 which I really don't like.  Well, there's no point in me saying all this, I can't decide easily anyway..

Hehe....follow your heart :P.... It will be hard to sell your PS3 as there are plenty of them on the stores :P...but you could make a deal and sell it for enough money to get the Wii. Aaand it will be hard to find a Wii :P...
Any way... dont take any decisions you may regret in the future...give it a good taught.

And of course I really recommend you getting a Wii at any manners :P

I don`t believe you actually have a PS3. You wouldn`t commit yourself to a big money investment like that only to discard it so quickly. How can you not like the 360 anyway :?

it's easy to not like the xbox360. just prefer japanese games

& I would probably have kept the PS3. there's lots of PS2 games you can enjoy on it.

You probably shouldn't sell it (although personally the 360 serves as a much better secondary console) because really, if you have both, you get the best of both worlds. When I want to play fun, innovative games with incredible new gameplay mechanics, I of course play the Wii. When I want hardcore, beautiful looking games with excellent online capabilities, I go with the 360. The Wii is just a whole other thing compared to the other consoles. Owning a Wii and one or both of the other two is really the ideal way to go.

You should hang on to the PS3 and save up for a Wii. Most (all?) of the games that you want for the Wii aren't even out yet so there wouldn't be much point in owning one now.

PS3's are pretty available in stores. I don't know, selling a PS3 doesn't sound like a good investment(Stores might try to rip you off, and since it's kind of more available in stores there's no reason to buy it online to deal with shipping costs and time waiting) unless you know someone who is willing to take if off your hands for full price.

Does Wii really have many games that cry ''made in Japan though''? It seems mostly western orientated in the design to me, except for Pangya of course.

Pangya is korean

and yes, there's several games. Kororinpa, Wing Island, Bust-a-move!, Trauma Center, Sonic, Wario Ware, Gt Pro, Elebits, Dragon Ball etc.

Wii just seems to be a much better choice than Xbox360 if you're into japanese games with a japanese culture in them. But of course there's Xbox360 games with this kind of sty,le too, such as Blue Dragon & IdolMaster.

& with games such as Naruto, One piece, SD Gundam, Eyeshield 21 etc. Wii just seem to dominate this aspect of games. PS3 will have their share of games too, but SONY seems to just want good looking games with a realistic approach.

Yes, Pangya is korean and I really do like Japanese games alot more.  One thing I was shocked when I called Gamestop about was that they would give me $500 store credit for my 60gig PS3.  I couldn't believe that Gamestop was willing to give me that much so I asked the guy like three times and got the same response.  I've always liked sticking to one console to play with but right now I'm not sure.  $500 is an extremely good offer tho.

Like...aren't all the major nintendo franchises basically made in Japan? Though they might not be the biggest sellers in Japan. Xbox 360 is mostly geared toward western market. Yeah, they are trying to break in, but even the major titles just make little progress. We even have titles like Metal slug. And Wii is still getting a Crystal chronicles, guilty gear, Dragon quest spin off. As an otaku, I think the Wii has enough to satisfy.

Isn't that a $100 loss? 2 games(possibly wonderful and awe inspiring) :(

yea, almost all. the Metroid Prime games however are made by 'retro studios', which is a group of developers located in Texas.

The PS3 is a great system albeit a bit on the expensive side. Not only is it capable of 1080p and offers bluray playback, but it has a really nice online system and some really great games.

Dude..the wii is really good at grabbing attention. Unless you're a longtime zelda fan, you wont have much of an interest toward it. It will be a tedious temple after temple game. The other games you listed aren't coming out for months. Also, FF13 and MGS are legendary games that you can't part with. I say if you really want to leave sony, consider what kind of games you like playing, and see if the Wii can deliver.

That's another why the 360 sucks to me: there's no real Japanese games. Of course, Lost Planet and Dead Rising are made by Capcom which they are Japanese but they are appealing the western side of the planet. It's another reason why Blue Dragon is the only game I'm interested on the 360.

I'm sorry but the 360 is nothing more than a niche console for North America. People develop games on it but it's so occidental. That's why the 360 doesn't sell in Asia especially in Japan.

Also, don't buy the PS3 to play PS2 games. I heard the backwards compatibility sucks especially in Europe. Buy a PS2 if you want to play them.

By the way, I'm not a Japanese. I'm a pure Canadian.

Dude don't sell your ps3. Trust me you will regret it later. Wii is a great system and all, but most of the games you listed are coming out in a month or later in the year. I say keep your ps3 and save up for a Wii. It will be harder to save up $600 later if you regret it.

Hey man, both are good consoles for different reasons. I say sell it, MGS4 and FFXIII are not worth 600 for me, and there are going to be many many excellent Wii games, and its sooo much cheaper, u can buy more games.
