I just recently started playing online, and i have come into a big problem. Snaking. I hate it. I really hope Nintendo does something to fix it in the next game.

O you mean in Mario Kart DS? Yeah, you just have to avoid people who do it. Some people are cool and don't snake even if they're capable of doing it. They may do it if they see someone else snake just because they are.

The only way to beat the snakers is to learn how to do it yourself.  It's a necessary evil.  If you don't like it, don't play online, it's as simple as that.

Learn to snake.

It's actually an evolution in skill. Sure, people might complain that it's "cheating" because they can finish the races faster than anyone else, but you will find it much harder than it sounds. And those people who say REAL skill is just using items are idiots.

you know its so retarted i hate playing my ds games online. i have mario kart....i can snake when people are but i still lose, and in metroid prime hunters, i either verse people with like 5 fing stars when i have one even when i match my rank OR i verse the people who glitch in the wall on combat hall! That is why i have came up to the idea to say screw it and buy animal crossing where its online isnt competitive at all. lol that sounds like a panzies way to get out of losing.
