I don't get what you people are complaining about... You get Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Smash Brothers Brawl, and Mario Kart all practically within one year and you're complaining about lack of hard-core games? Jeez, if you don't like Nintendo then get a 360 or PS3. (Not that there's anything wrong with that) And I wouldn't worry about Nintendo's showing at E3...

What you are talking about really has nothing to do with E3. It has everything to do with what games Nintendo announces. It just happens that E3 does that, but Nintendo could just as easiliy skip E3 and announce the games through different means (i.e. IGN, Gamespot). But, what I really wanted to say is that you seem to be putting way to much on Nintendo. When other systems come out, people don't soley rely on the company that released the system (Microsoft or Sony basically) to put out games. Nintendo probably releases more games in a year than Sony or Microsoft do over the lifetime of their consoles. I know this is not system wars, but I bring that up because you should really be putting the pressure on 3rd party developers to come out with games that appeal to the ahrdcore gamers because their sole goal in life is to create video games. Nintendo has to worry about consoles and hardware and a bunch of other stuff. Anyway, that is my 2 cents, take it for what you want.

Since last E3 four games for the hardcore gamers have come out.

Metroid prime

Super mario galaxy

SSBB

Mario kart.

If four 1st party hardcore games a year dont satisfy (sp?) you then i guess your just to greedy.

This year at E3 they will anounce games for later on this year. Dont worry about it, they had four great games last year and now since they are realesed everyone thinks that is all they had. obviously they have something else up their sleeves for the rest of this year and early next year.

If you dont trust nintendo i guess you should not own a wii

- Little King's Story
- MadWorld
- The Conduit
- Mega Man 9
- Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
- Guitar Hero: World Tour
- Wario Land: Shake It!
- Fatal Frame 4
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I already have a lot of titles to worry about without Nintendo's announcements, besides Shake It!.

So, yeah, whatever they announce will be an extra topping.

I am thinking positive. I agree with a statement someone else made on here, they say that Nintendo has like a two-step plan - the first few years they make more casual-oriented games to attract gamers, and then the rest of the Wii's lifespan they step it up and make more hardcore-oriented games. That's what sorta happened with the DS, so it's not too farfetched.

You might want to change your name if you don't get blown away.

But I sure hope they're able to dish out some awesome games.

If there isnt anything big coming out of E3, i am going to get a PS3. My friend doesn't want his PS3 and i wouldn't want my Wii if nothing is coming from E3. So it works out both ways its a win-win for me.

Im sorry, but with all due respect, what is this b***s*** you're giving us?

we're not supposed to bow down to Nintendo or any other company for any reason whatsoever.

Nintendo should want and NEED each and every one of their customers' money. If most people are complaining, who are you to tell us not to own their products? As EASILY as the Wii got popular, it will fall without the support of their hardcore fanbase. And that way you won't see a Mario or Zelda game ever be released again.

I'm tired of the b***s*** that some Nintendo fans are giving others. If YOU trust Nintendo, keep it to yourselves and stop talking to us about what to do. Don't come to threads like this and waste space. We want to complain because we want to be heard. If we get mixed opinions by a minority of hardcore fans who just come here to show their unconditional and blind support, then just stay away. Companies are like animals. If you don't discipline them, they take advantage of you, Nintendo or not Nintendo.

Over and above, this is a serious issue. As many fans have pointed out on this thread Nintendo hasin fact been oversimplifying their games. And you know what? I'm gonna create a new thread to show you. If I'm mistaken about it, then fans like me will shut up and you will have your say. But until then, don't go around telling people not to own Wii's because we're not satisfied. If we're not satisfied, Nintendo Co. goes down with the people that once helped them start their success: the long-term fans.

And I challenge anyone who tells me that the Wii can solely rely on a majority of casual/family gamers to pull through.

I'm not expecting much from Nintendo these days. They really need to fix their online system and find better add-ons for the Wii. These gimmick add-ons they got isn't that great. Fix online and give us promising games with good multiplayer. Don't need Nintendo to ruin anymore games because of lacking online support *cough SSBB*

So your saying a company that gives us four great games in less than 1 year are not trust worthy? You think that soon they will just say " suckas we are not making anymore games and we got all of your money"!!!..... No thats not going to happen.

Most people (like you) are complaining because nintendo does not have any games that are announced yet. Well they are saving it up for E3 to surprise us big time.

Also about wasting space, i just told the TC that he is greedy because a 1st party to realese 4 major games in one year is amazing. in fact you are the one wasting space saying that nintendo is an animal.

"good nintendo sit, now roll over. Who's a good nintendo? you are! Yes you are"

Over simplifying games. hmm lets see.

Metroid prime = you fail
Mario Galaxy (all the stars) = you fail
LOZ: TP = You fail
Brawl and MK are suppose to be easy games that people can just pick up and play = you fail agian.

some games they want to appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers, others they don't.

Again like i said before if you dont trust nintendo i guess you shouldnt own a wii

Yep... i feel the same way. With the lack of 3rd Party support compared to the PS3 and the 360 I feel Nintendo is really falling. They are not attracting the hardcore Nintendo fans. If Nintendo doesn't announce something that will appeal to the hardcore gamers...

sigh....

pro_gamer12345

If you have not noticed, the wii is Nintendo's 3rd party beast.... Ubi has promised higher quality games, besides the mini games. then there are other developers like EA, and High voltage software, Suda 51, and other developers, Just wait for their games to come out, they won't dissapoint.... well not me at least.

I couldn't agree more. I love Nintendo, but as time passes I play Wii less and less. It's not so much Nintendo, as developers in general. I just haven't seen any really impressive games for the Wii by anyone but Nintendo. And even still, the games by Nintendo have had some major flaws imo. Still amazing games, but flawed. E3 definitely has a lot riding on it.

Who ever thinks Zelda was not a great game has some issues.

Mario kart some say it was not all that great because there were not many options (no co-op GP etc.) But it was still a great game because of online and replay ability.

So yes all four are great and nintendo has had a great year and will have many more to come (starting at this E3)

i too dont understand the view that nintendo abandoned its hardcore base. TP was a game basically created from the wishes of their core following for a zelda similar to OoT. Prime 3 was another excelent hardcore game and mario galaxy is a core game of very high calibre, its in the top 5 at gamerankings. Brawl seemed to me to have been built for the core gamer, as i dont expect casuals to play through the high level of content. ill admit that with mario kart it was a bridge title and so they amde efforts to make it appease to the casual crowd but thats not forgetting the core crowd.in fact i see DD as being more casual than the wii version.

the rest of the evidence i can think of ill just sumerise.

they are publishing Fatal Frame, a game that will appeal to the core gamers and enlisting the help of Suda 51

diaster is a new IP thats definately made for the core gamer

they are continuing to make wii version of their franchises eg. wario, kirby, animal crossing

they are using a trusted developer(on nintendo consoles at least) factor 5 to resurect Kid Icarus most likely for core as casuals wont have memories og the original

they are giving a lot of help to HVS with the conduit, probably the most hyped core game for wii. its also likely that they will publish the game which will have online multiplayer and may support voice chat

hope this didnt sound too fanboyish, just joining in on the discussion

i am more looking forward to what capcom has up its sleeves for the wii owners... i havent been too impressed with nintendo latey, i personally think that most of the games ( mario kart, prime, galaxy, LOZ, and brawl, MOSTLY brawl ) have been severely hyped, and they personally werent as good as their predecessors ( melee was just better, more fluid and more fun overall, i coul sit and play for hours, brawl, not so much)

I totally agree. Nintendo is going to pull out the big guns at this E3.

IPs's that I am DEAD CERTAIN will be announced at E3 by Nintendo: Zelda, Kid Icarus, F-Zero, and Animal Crossing. IP's that have fair chance of appearing: Pikmin, Super Mario, and Pokemon.

You have nothing to worry about. It's gonna happen. MS is going to get blown out of the water. Sony's got nothing, and you know it. All they have is good 3rd party support. Nintendo's got all-star 1st party.

Have faith, and get ready for some good games.

i honestly wouldnt mind a super watered down RE5, although im almost certain thats not gonna happen, the 360 and PS3 ones are so intense, with all the hallucinations and light effects they have in there, its gonna be one heck of a game

People complained when the N64 lacked RPGs, lacked almost any 3rd party quality support, etc
People complained when the GC lacked 3rd party support, online play and thought it was a kiddy system.
Now people complain about the Wii's lack of next gen power, gimmicky controls and lack of hardcore games.

They were whining over nothing back then, and they're whining over nothing now.
Nintendo always comes through, even if they take their sweet-arse time doing it sometimes, and even if they lose a few fans here and there due to the directions they're going. It's a fact of life, things change, and the changes aren't always going to be in absolutely everyone's best interest.

I've always had faith and I always will.

lol, people make it sound like Nintendo needs the "hardcore" gamer to succeed. They've already proven otherwise with the Wii. The entire reason Nintendo switched to their current strategy is because marketing to the hardcore is not as profitable. They tried witih the Nintendo 64 and the GameCube, but Sony and Microsoft won. Who's fault is that? Why, could it be, that these "hardcore" gamers didn't support Nintendo enough then? They all flocked to Sony and Microsoft. Why should Nintendo make so many games to please them now, when most of them are gone? Its not profitable and it has failed in the past. Having said that, it seems like some of you have the attention span of a small child. I am still playing video games from last year, let alone Smash Brothers from this year. Just because you play a game for 2 days and get bored, doesn't mean there's not a great library of games available.

Lately I haven't been to impressed with Nintendos attempts to attract the hard core gamer. And it may just be me but the last few Nintendo games that have been released seemed a bit more child orientated and simplified (more aimed towards the casual gamer). And with last years "big announcement" at E3 being Wii fit im really not sure if Nintendo is the right company for me anymore.

So unless they really blow MS out of the water this year I may be saying goodbye to the big N

So is it just me or do others feel the same way?

Will i would not say that if im not 100% happy with the out look for the Wii after E3 that i will leave ninty i would agree that this years E3 is a big deal. of course all of them are.instead of leaving ninty why not do like me and alot of people who are not 100% happy with there Wii's. keep it for the few games that you want and buy a PS3 or a 360 to go along with it. selling your Wii now may not be worth it.
