I agree

Overpriced old software with control schemes that were never designed for the games

Nintendo is doing what other devs are doing. They don't care about quality with the games. They understand that anything sells and they're just trying to get money back that they lost last gen.

Nintendo said that they weren't happy with sales last gen and they're using this to fix them.

Pretty awful making Wii owners pay for Nintendo's mistakes last gen

Jaysonguy

i don't think the pricing of any wii games would apply to you...you only rent wii games right?

I'd pay any quantity of money to play any Pikmin game again even if it is slightly altered. I am a Pikmin UBER FAN!

Thirthy bucks, eh? That is not nearly as offensive as $50.

I will very likely pick up Pikmin 2 and Metroid Prime 2, as I have yet to play either.

Am I a sucker? Hell no. I am about to be offered two great games (which I have yet to play) with updated controls for the price of a mere (speculated) $30.

Gimme.

This is almost as bad as a person that goes to a store to buy an item and complain that s/he can buy a similar but older model elsewhere for cheaper. The thing is, why does this upset customer not go to that other store to buy that item instead of being upset. Easier to just go and get the cheaper one, that is why we have the freedom to chose from different stores, just like we have a choice of buying or not buying these Wii-makes, or looking for their GCN originals.

This happened to me while working, not the same, but the concept is there.

Customer: Hi, I'd like to get a room for the night
Me: Sure, it's $XYZ + tax for the nigh

Customer: What? $XYZ. The hotel down the block is renting their rooms for $XXY
Me: OK...?

Customer:..........
Me:.........

Customer:.........
Me: hmmmm. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Customer: Can you give it to me at the same price that other place is giving.
Me: I'm afraid I can't.

Customer: So what are you going to do for me? How are you going to make up for you not having cheaper rooms.
Me: ???

Customer:....
Me: I'm sorry, I just can't do that

Yap me too!! The rest of the remakes I won't buy them... I have the original versions in my GC collection.

perfect analogy. people expect the world, and they expect it now. if any business tried to make everyone happy, they'd go out of business. guaranteed, if Nintendo offered these games for $20, people would still be complaining. they could be paying us to play, and people would still find a way to complain.

how is it not obvious??? Every minute that an employee was working on these games could have been spent working on new titles... I dont see how you are confused, either they work on a wiimake or they work on a new title.

RE4 was a steal for that price. Why is this any different?

RE4 was a steal for that price. Why is this any different?nintendo-4life

Few reasons:

Resident Evil was either the best game last gen or runner up to the best game last gen.

Resident Evil was only 2 years old when it was ported

Capcom explained that the only reason they made Resident Evil for the Wii was because they didn't plan on the Wii and wanted to support it. They had nothing else.

Nintendo is not surprised by the Wii, they did not fail to make games for it because they didn't know how it was going to sell. The games they're remaking are over 7 years old in some instances and certainly not regarded as the best title(s) of last gen.

1. Metroid prime was the best game last gen. 2. Why is this important? 3. Nintendo planned these games during E3. They aren't cashing in on Wii's success, or at least, they didn't get greedy from the current sales figures.
