I have bought FF3 and EBA and both were about $10 under their regular prices plus i got a discount at EB Games using my EDGE card saving me another 5 or so dollars.

So is it better to get used games or new games?

I buy used. It's really hard to damage a cartridge, so there isn't much risk involved.

Used without a doubt, and at EB you can get the protection guarantee thing too, so no worries.

I like new because I'm pretty OCD about things like this. I like to be the first one to open the seal, etc.

It's nothing buying used games, sometimes it's pretty good to buy something a little cheaper then buying it full price.

Used games costs about the same as new games where I live, so back when I bought games, I bought them new.

I buy new when the games are new, and used when I'm hunting for really old games (GBA games ex). I never trade any games in anymore, though. It's just a rip.

I will buy used as long as it's in Like New condition.   I definitely won't buy used if there's no case or the case is damaged.    I'm pretty obsessive compulsive when it comes to how my case looks.

New, they barely discount used where I'm at. A $3.00 discount for a used vs new means I'm going to buy the new game. It always bugs me when I can only find the game used and there ends up being no manual inside. I remember back in the day (NES catridges), they'd discount better for things like that; but apparently case + game = case + game + manual.

I've always been very anal about buying used music CDs or video games, but I actually don't mind buying used DS or GBA games because they're cartridges instead of CDs. As long as they are cartridges there shouldn't really be any problems. Nothing wrong with saving money. ;)

I've bought all of mine new. I did buy one GBA game used though, as I couldn't find it anywhere else. I'm not opposed to buying used, but I do like to have the case and manual. I'd rather not just buy the cartridge.

Haha that's not a fact. Considering I've bought several games from them that haven't worked.

hey is the edge card the one that they put store credit on when you trade in games or is it something different?
