I am not very familiar with technology but i am planning to buy an lcd tv (because i used to have those old, white-yellow jacks tv) for gaming. i was told that since i can afford it, might as well buy those 1080p ones. however, i primarily plan on using them on gaming. right now i have a 360 but i really plan on buying a wii once i find one. the thing is, i have read on some message boards that if i use wii on a 1080p tv i will have bad pictures? is that true?

No it's not true at all. I recently got a 46" 1080p LCD HDTV and the Wii looks amazing on it.

depends on how close you sit to your tv, up close you can see every little flaw and jagged line, other wise it looks ok
