I'm not downloading any more Virtual Console games until they bring out something great on the VC...
If nobody would download the garbage Nintendo has been putting on the VC... They would have to put good games.

There has been abunch of great games on the VC... some of my favourites are:
Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, Star Fox 64, Mario Bros. 3, and Ninja Gaiden.
I think there should be only very good games (aswell as imports) and no bad games.

Revenue from the bad games pays the bills just like the good games. Also, Nintendo isn't the one making all the decisions about which games are being released, but you'll have to ask Jaysonguy about that.
In all honesty, I've been practicing the idea of your strike since day one. I don't buy bad games; I only buy the ones I think are great. ;)

So Phantasy Star 2 was a bad game? Harvest moon? Super Turrican?
It's not my fault you do not know your retro video games, educate yourself about these great retro titles and you will learn youhave not right to complain.
most of the games on the VC are crap... but they do have some good ones (the donkey kong countrys, super mario world, super mario bros 3)... but i'm still waiting for DK64 and SNES mario kart... 2 great games that you would have thought would be out already. i'm not going to 'strike'... but those are the only 2 games i really want that i don't have, so i won't download anything until they are out.
also, has anyone heard what games are out tomorrow?

the fact that they may be bad games to you, me or anyone else do not mean that they are so for everyone... huge world, millions of ppl, million of different taste...
Castlevania 2 is not that great but for me is a clasic so.. I was thrilled...
Sonic thing is supposse to be great, I hate the thing (no offense to fans :) )
Do you really expect that they will not release this "bad" games.. is like complaining a system have bad release...
and they have release like what?... 200 games... if they release only "your good" ones, they will be like lets say 40 games... then what?? And lets say that you like 200 games and they are all being release now, do you actually have time and money to play all those games now...??? :? Balance... is all this is about..
*sighs*
Enjoy gaming....

Are you saying basically that you won't buy a Virtual Console game until you see one that you want to download?
If so, isn't that... kind of the way all purchases work? :P

This makes me sad... The adventures of Lolo is one of the NES best puzzle/action series.

Wait. what? You must be kidding me, I thought we were all forced to buy every single VC game, even if we did not like them /sarcasmAs for me, all the good games that, I still have in a cartridge. My NES, SNES still work just fine as well as my Genesis. I have not had he need to buy any VC games, though that Sin & Punishment game looks like a must buy. I've been spending all my video-game-money in collecting GCN games.
Well, someone was not around back in the day, Lolo was a great game, and it still is. Maybe the puzzle element of it is a little hard to grasp for you(?)Bad games like: The Adventures Of Lolo

The last game I downloaded on the VC was Super Metroid back in August. The next time I download a good one is when they release Secret of Mana or Earthbound or Chrono Trigger or Dragon Warrior 4.I'm not downloading any more Virtual Console games until they bring out something great on the VC...

So you seem like an RPG fan with your hip anime Chrono Trigger avatar yet you didn't download Phantasy Star? This just kind of proves what the VC needs is more EDUCATION on the titles and not more *pop* titles.
Your strike won't work. It costs Nintendo almost nothing to put games on the VC, so they probably don't care if anyone is downloading them.I'm not downloading any more Virtual Console games until they bring out something great on the VC...

I couldn't have said it better. I too have been practicing the idea of your strike since day one. I only buy the classics, and by classic I don't mean just plain old... I mean, the ones I remember really really enjoying back in the day. The fact that they release things like Mario Bros Lost Levels, which until know was only available in japan (or on an emulator) is pretty frickin sweet. So do your boycott, don't reward the developers letting Nintendo release their old craptacular titles... just make sure you don't pass up a great game.
This is driving me insane. Workers "strike;" consumers "boycott." What you are talking about here is, in fact, a boycott. Blessings to the one other poster who knows the difference.
Just because you've never heard of it doesn't mean it sucks. There are plenty of great games available right now. I currently own Castlevania II, Gunstar Heroes, Ninja Gaiden, Sonic, Toejam and Earl 2, Mario 64 and Super Metroid (even though I already own the last two outside of the VC). If it weren't for the fact that I still own and play my SNES this list would be quite a bit longer. My point is that a "boycott" of the VC would be depriving gamers of many classic games that they're not even aware of. The solution is not "better" games, it is getting those people that don't know how great some of these games are to play them and spread the word. I understand that there are a lot of crappy games too, but review sites (especially IGN; they've been great with the VC) can usually point you in the right direction if you're unsure about what to buy. Before you abandon the godsend that is the Virtual Console, perhaps you should actually try it. You will be surprised.
Since I mentioned the SNES, here are some games you might consider trying if you haven't already:
SimCity; Super Castlevania IV; Street Fighter II; Zelda: Link to the Past; F-Zero; Contra III; Super Mario World; Donkey Kong Country; R-Type III; Super Ghouls and Ghosts; Super Metroid; Breath of Fire II; Harvest Moon.
There are plenty of others out there, and I suggest that anyone else with more ideas speak up so we can put an end to this nonsense.
EDIT: I finally found this amazing thread. Anyone with an interest in the Virtual Console should check it out:

right there is where this topic lost any sort of credibility (or maybe it was in the first post, but this one just pissed me off). The first Lolo is a treasure and the second is more of the same great puzzles (still need to finish the second when I put Brawl down). And I seriously can't wait for the third one to be released.Bad games like: The Adventures Of Lolo

Maybe if some people actually TRIED these games, there might be some interesting VC discussions on this board instead of stupid complaints.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!
I'm actually pretty damn happy with the VC rite now. Sure, Chrono Trigger, Pilotwings, Pilotwings, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, Pilotwings, etc. would all be cool but as long as there is stuff worth downloading I'm happy.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of good and bad games...but The Adventure of Lolo is one of my favorite games of all time, it's not flashy or exciting but it is a great formula that is pretty awesome.
What's with the Turbografix and Japanese import games!? Most of those games look very unappealing to me and I scratch my head every time I hear the words "Bonk's adventure."

It's a good opporunity for people to play games they may not have otherwise played. I had the TurboDuo and enjoyed the Bonk series, although I liked "Bonk's Revenge" the best of the lot. Ys I & II was my absolute favorite game on there, though (not on VC yet). Bomberman '93 is a must buy for anyone who wants a cheap but still great Bomberman. You can even play it with 5 people (you + four friends).
