Yay! Glad to see one of Nintendo's lesser known IPs do well. I plan on picking it up later this summer along with MadWorld.

Sweet! I was really hoping this game would sell well. Considering there are more people that are excited for The Conduit than there were people excited for Punch-Out, I think the Conduit might actually sell as well!

I wasn't a big fan of the one on NES so yeah...probly not spending 50 bucks on something I don't even like XD...

It is a great game.

For a slow month like this one those numbers are pretty good.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by its sales, i knew it would do good but i didn't think it would break the top 10 overall. I'm very happy its doing well and I'm glad Nintendo finally put out the effort to market this game effectively since its rare for them to do that now a days.

It did well because, at least in the states, it's one of those bridge titles that nintendo loves talking about so much. It's easy to pick up and play, family's can enjoy it, and older consumers who may have given up on video games by now reconize it. I've seriously seen a dad bring his kid to gamestop to buy a game and the dad bought punchout just becasue he had fond memories of it on the NES. Kid got sonic and the black knight. :P

I also can't believe that UFC beat out Infamous. It's a bunch of Neandertals beating the crap out of eachother...but I guess America is the new Rome! Disgusting if you ask me

Punch-Out!! is awesome! Truly one of the most difficult games I've played in a long time, but in a fun and non-frustrating way.

I don't know what Nintendo's projections for this game are, but if it doesn't break a million. I will personally consider it a commercial failure considering how successful the NES title was. If this game has the "Nintendo legs" it will trot it's way to a million and my concern for the sales can be simply labeled as an overreaction.

...yet it was still beaten out by another Pokemon remake, Wii Fit, a Mario Kart game that's over a year old and a THQ game. Sad.

Of course Punch Out!! sold, it's a great game.

My guess, since this is such an old franchise, is that many of the people who bought this game had no idea what they were getting into

I did my part and I bought it. It's a great game.

It had a commercial, most games would do great i they got commercials.

Don't get your hopes up. Alot of the people who bought it probably just did so for the free nunchuck.

That really doesn't prove anything... both Halo and Gears scored higher than Punch-Out!!, and they sold much better.. So I'm really not seeing where there is any proof that Halo and Gears cant stack up to Punch-Out!! of all titles XD
