[QUOTE="WR_Platinum"][QUOTE="sk8ter33157"][QUOTE="WR_Platinum"]Someone who dislikes A Link To The Past is not worthy of makin opinions to make Zelda "better" on the next installment...- _-
Anyway idk why u people don't really like TP. I been playin zelda since the NES days and up until now I have not been dissapointed not once in the series. To me, I seen perfection in every game they released.
its funny also how so many people a couple of years ago want a more OOT forbidden thats its "too much" like OOT. Sounds kinda stupid to me coming from those people.
Some of you're ideas may seem pretty good, but some of them are missleading. For example, saying that it should go to a more oblivion/fable forbidden moves... That would make the game too RPG-ish so thats cut off the list quickly. Let the game end with a flood? This one quote puts this post down completly...
[QUOTE="the_leet_kid"]Zelda doesn't need help from someone who thinks LttP sucks.

:lol::lol::lol:
First of all, the fact that we disagree about LttP should have nothing to do with this. And here is my response to you:
1) I implied that the game should be like fable/oblivion in the way of sidequests, compelling items and secrets, and an actual, open world (not just the illusion of an open world). Not a stat-counting RPG. Just the open, compelling elements.
2) Why is my idea to end with a flood ridiculous. According to Wind Waker: The Hero of Time battles Ganon but fails leading to the Sages praying to the Gods. The gods flood the world. How would that make a bad ending?! MANY MANY people were predicting that Twilight Princess would end that way. It would be something fresh, rather than just killing Ganon in a cliche way. Link fails. It would be a shocker.
my post is in the quotes ^^^^. I dunno how that happened
Weird how ur post ended with quotes but anyway...
On the the first response, in ur post it seemed like u were sayin Zelda should be more like Fable and Oblivion since u mentioned them twice on ur post, so it made me think that u wanted a game just like Fable and oblivion or more of an RPG forbidden new moves, that sounds like an RPG element there. That might be good about the open world part, but if u think about it, it would be misleading in terms with the story, there has to be a place where u must check out before u go to the next path, just like how (for example) link goes into Kakariko Village as a wolf, its not like you can change him back into a human by ur choice in the beggining, he's in the twilight world version of the village, so he has to complete a certain task to restore the light world to the vallage.
Now about the flood. Yeah it happend in WW, but remember one thing though, the series has never had a solid connection to the time line in terms of story. This is Twilight Princess, which from what I understand takes place hundreds of years BEFORE WW, Link in TP was NOT considered the Hero Of Time. Never in my mind I thought this game would end with a flood. Now idk who are these "MANY MANY people" who thought this would happen, but its more like you WISHED that it happend. It would not have been fresh since u seen it it in WW, so that doesn't really point anything at all.
The funny is you talk about cliches, its been like that in Zelda for the LONGEST TIME. The story starts a guy named Link, he goes on an adventure, fights Gannon, kills him, saves the princess, the end. idk how the devolpers would think of an idea if link failed in the end, matter fact... Idk don't know anyone (besides you) who would want that.
Here is my response to your rebuttal:
1) First off, I never said I want it to be an RPG. You are just assuming that form the mention of Fable/Oblivion. You know that I meant it should resemble those games in terms of varied world, freedom, and secrets. And yes there should be things you have to do first before you can access an area. However, the areas you do access should be more varied, larger and more open. Like in GTA....there are parts blocked off at first but they eventually open. Zelda does something similar except that most of the land in this area is just for visual. You cant actually go there. IT SHOULD RESEMBLE OBLIVION IN THE ASPECT THAT YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE THAT YOU CAN SEE. Yes the game should start more limited at first but then open. You should be able to go up into mountains, desserts, cave, oceans, lakes etc. Some areas can be blocked by physcial barriers or be inaccesible until a certain weapon is obtained but you can eventually go anywhere. Also, there should be Oblivion-like aspects in the varied sidequests and optional content.
2) There have been more than a few posts in THIS topic that have said "A flood would have been good" or "I wanted TP to end with a flood." When the game was released the fact that there was no flood was on many of the disappointment lists. And the flood I am referring to DID NOT HAPPEN IN Wind Waker. It happened before WW; it is the predecesor to Wind Waker. And YES I KNOW the series has never been connected but I pointed out that IMO Nintendo should give solid hints at connections....like a flood at the end of a game. It would show that particular Zelda is connected. Ummm and YES Link is the Hero Of Time in Twilight Princess...every Link is. After you clear Ordon of the twilight you get the hero of time clothes. And since TP DOES take place years before WW then there could have beena flood in twilight princess. Wind Waker has told you about this FAILED hero; the only one we know about. There has been one Link who has failed (or was not powerful enough to kill Ganon). How would it not be a compelling story to see how he failed, why he failed? Why was he not as strong as the other Links? The game could end with ganon being all powerful. Link cant defeat him but can keep him down using his sword to pin him to the floor. While the gods flood the earth Link is forced to keep Ganon pinned while they both drown...saving the world. This would be a prequel to WW. The actual flood and reasons for Links failure did not happen in Wind Waker itself..
Ok let me clear this mess that u call a response lol
1) The first sentence u said was just a repeat of what I said.... Anyway, For the game to have a land where u can go and see would not work good. Why? this ain like the MMORPG games you see, it would have people gettin lost no knowing wtf to do with so much land to explore, what r u gonna do? go up the mountains just to go up there? are u gonna sit there and take a break for sum fresh air? Sounds a lil boring right there. So in result let me put it bluntly. If u wanted Zelda to have these sort of resemblenses of Oblivion, why don't you go and PLAY OBLIVION and play for hours and hours on all these journeys and not make a topic about a game that doesn't even RESEMBLE to Oblivion? (you kidding me?) Its that simple.
2) When i mentioned the flood happening in WW, I didn't mean you actually saw it, you read the story about it but NEVER seen it.So there were posts of people bein dissapointed cuz there was no flood? Sounds a lil rediculous to me, why? well of u noticed every Zelda game, they never made a specific prequel nor sequel on one of their stories, and exampl would be that MM is not a sequel to OOT, MM was a completly new game from OOT. Or better yet, A Link to The Past does not a have any sequels of the events after that game, nor does WW or TP being connected to WW, since when anyone thought that TP would be sumwhat connected to WW? Sounds like u don't know the series too well, who ever said that TP would explain the flood story that took place before WW? NO ONE, it was all in ur head. You desire to have the sereis to have sum "connection" is just sumthin that YOU think would be good, but Nintendo doesn't do that you know so that is moved to the side.
WHOA WHOA WHOA, did YOU say that Link is the "Hero Of Time" in TP? Now you almost made spit out my soda cuz that was THE MOST wrong thing you said in that whole response. When in the story it ever said that Link in TP is the Hero Of Time? Not every Link is the Hero Of Time in all the Zeldas, seems like you really REALLY liked OOT a WHOLE LOT to say that to me... LMAOOO The green tunic he wears is not the Hero Of Time Clothes, who in the world said that? You? Not nintendo, not Mr. Myamoto, did the fairy tell u that? you buggin man, Link was not the Hero Of Time In A Link To The Past, Adventures of Link etc etc etc. and thats a TRUE statement, don't believe me? then look up information about link on ur own and find out.
Again with the TP takin place before WW, yes it DOES take place before WW, but exactly how many years? 3 years? 1 year? Maybe... HUNDREDS of years? Get it in the lil closed head of ur that NO ONE ever said that TP was gonna be a prequel to WW and there was NEVER gonna be people runnin from this flood that would sink people to death. WW mentioned the story of how The Hero Of Time never came to save these people. When evil ws about to take over Hyrule, Link never made it to save them, I don't remember anythin about him failing, but if it oh well, not that Nintendo said anythin of makin a PREQUEL that would CONNECT to WW. Hope u learned sum knowlege after u read this.
Anyway I'm surprised that this thread is alive. Oh well....
