Will you be using the Wii Remote + Nunchuck Combo, the Classic Controller, or the CC Pro?

Will you chat using Wii Speak or a USB Keyboard?

Play with strangers, a group of friends, or a mix of the two? Or Taking on all monsters on your own perhaps?

Personally, I'll be using the Remote/Nunchuck combo, play with strangers, and I'm leaning towards using a USB Keyboard.
What will you do?

Classic Controller, WiiSpeak, and a mix of the of friends and strangers. I suggest you grab a classic controller, as the game is so cumbersome with the WiiRemote + Nunchuck.

Is it worth playing single player only? I'm not really a fan of online team games...

defnitely getting the bundle and I'll be playing online within a few days. I'll also have to wait for some birthday money to come in before I can buy it because I'm almost broke now.

No idea it had Wii Speak support. Hmm. I really want a good online Wii title, but MH doesn't seem like it's for me.. I still want to play it though.

I have ordered the Limited Edition Ultimate Hunter Pack, so naturally I'll be using the CCPro and Wii Speak that come with it.

Unsure on which c.l.a.s.s I'll be using yet though. (C.l.a.s.s is for some reason a blocked word)

Regular Cl4ssic Controller (I WILL give the Nunchuk + Wiimote scheme a try, though). I'll play single player for a while (5 to 8 hours) first and then I'll play it with a friend and maybe we'll recruit strangers if we need more people. I may also give the arena mode a try every now and then too.

bowguns don't appeal to me. i'd be using the dual swords, but they were removed from tri >.> i'm usually in favor of the fastest weapon possible, and the sword & shield delivers it, but i've never been a fan of that combination... i still have to check the greatsword and the switchaxe, my two other choices. sure they aren't as fast, but they look so badass i'd pick them if i manage to get used to them :P

I started with sword and sheild, than I went to great sword (realy hard to get good with) then I went to mid-bowgun just for the heck of it.

I didn't really choose the mid-bowgun as much as it choose me, it just feels so natural when I use it and I've gotten quite good with it.

It really isnt that practical in solo mode but I'm sure it will come in handy in team play as it adds something different to the team!

Can't wait to get online with this game!

I will be using the WiiMote-Nunchuck setup (I find it fairly simple to use once accustomed to it)with WiiSpeak when I get it bundled with Endless Ocean 2. I'll be playing with people I know and maybe strangers every now and then. I will be using the Lance. CHAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah this guys obvious trolling around here has become pretty pathetic, especially since millions of people play Pokemon and love it. We got an amateur troll here who is making themselves look like a fool lol. He needs to go to SW and take some lessons. Anyway I am going to play offline for awhile and build up my armor and weapons, the quest online are harder so if you just jump on there your probably going to take a massive beating.

Me and my lil brother. 2 player offline co-op. One of us with a classic controller pro, the other with a wiimote+nunchuk. And we'll go online and hang out. I don't have a Wii Speak because I don't have any games that support it, and I don't MH3 would be a reason to go out and buy $20 when I could just invest on wii points instead.

Thats one reason I'm picking a weapon and sticking to it!

Mid-bown seems like something pretty niche and it really comes in handy for someone on a team to use.

No its one Wiimote and the Classic Controller, the GC controller thing was probably omitted as part of Nintendo teaming up with them. Nintendo has to get something out of this and that would be selling some CC Pro.

Or maybe it's because the game uses all four shoulder buttons and the Gamecube controller only has three.

I'm definitely going with the CC pro. I really hate the Wiimote+Nunchuk set up. Also I'll start out with a keyboard, and if I deem it necessary I might get a WiiSpeak. As for class, I'm going hammer! I've always loved the hammer in the past and the ability to stun enemies with it is such a great ability to have imo. Its also one of the hardest hitting weapons. I'll might try out the switch axe for a while though since it seems pretty cool.

I will use the Wii Remote/Nunchuck for controls and Wii Speak for voice chat. The Great Sword is my weapon of choice!

I tried the classic controller, but it didn't feel natural and felt awkward. Maybe the CC Pro will feel better, but I'll wait and see. I can't wait until the 20th!!!

Well, if I do get MH Tri, it will be the first MH game I play, but I don't have Online set up for my Wii yet. It's really confusing. I just hope it's possible for me to set it up. I think I'll just use Wiimote/Numchuck and probably won't use the WiiSpeak thing. I'll most likely play Single-player. But MH Tri has Split-sceen Co-op, right? so maybe I'll try and get a friend or my brother to play with me. It looks like a real cool game.

im gonna try wiimote and nunchuck first. reviews have consistently panned it but i generally find that its not an issue for me since, yknow, im competent with a wiimote and nunchuck *acts all snooty and stuck up* :P. seriously though if that doesnt work then its the GC controller if it works and if not then ill dig out the old classic controller.

Local co-op is limited to the Arena mode. Basically, you and your buddy/brother play inside an arena against a bunch of bosses. The main game is single player or online only. Then again, since fighting monsters is the cool part of the game, the arena mode should not feel too bad. Your brother/buddy can play single player on your Wii, build up his character, and then both of you can go to arena mode and have some nice split screen fun. Also, just FYI, you can also export your character to your Wiimote so you can play with your character on your friends' Wiis and whatnot.

MH3 does have split-screen co-op! However you only fight inside of an arena against a fierce beast in split-screen co-op. Also the single player takes a very long time to finish (I heard 60+ hrs and over 100+ hrs when you add the online quests). So even if you don't have online access, the offline will keep you busy.

Yes well the game never truely ends haha. It's sorta like the Pokemon games in that regard. I guess you could consider having beaten every mission as completion but then there's sooooo much armor and weapons that you can upgrade. Addictive gaming at its finest. :D

classic controller pro (if there's a white one) play with people i know only will probably get wii speak or usb keyboard for this. If it 'works' without them then probably no. We can always text each other, that seems much easier.

I'll be playing this game with a cc pro (unless I get it and it's horrible, in which case I'll play with cc) and a WiiSpeak. If the language gets too ugly (F***! I got hit! I need a F***ing potion! F***, f***, f***!) I might switch to keyboard. Going in with a switch axe (hopefully the Lagicrus one).

EDIT: And I'll spend the whole time playing online unless you can't beat the game that way :P

Haha so true! And I sorta feel the same way about the Wii Speak. I don't feel like listening to that and especially not some 12 year old who won't shut up about how is better than you in every way. X(

EDIT: And I'll spend the whole time playing online unless you can't beat the game that way :P

i'm pretty sure one can only use wii speak with you if you allow that person. but i think i only realized that now... all those "i'm too good to be with you, stop sucking so much and do something useful" elitist-wannabes from other multiplayer co-op games (like left 4 dead) will be on MH3 too... i hate them >_>

I'll be using the Classic Controller with Wii Speak and possible USB Keyboard. I would get the Classic Controller Pro but it's black and all my other Wiimotes and Classic Controllers are white, so if you combine that with my OCD, then you would figure out that I could not handle seeing a black controller next to all my white controllers, it would urk me so. Haha.

Classic Controller or Pro (haven't decided yet), play with friends using PS3 + headset for communication. Maybe when I get comfortable with the game I'll play with strangers ... I guess I'll communicate with erratic gestures because I don't want to buy Wii Speak and it'd be annoying to communicate with a keyboard + a controller I'd imagine.
