can comeone please fill the noob in on when the E3 thing is actually on.
i really hope they come out with something good...i think most of the suggestions wouldn't be too bad, but cmon...wii sports 2? that would seriously let me down...

[QUOTE="HolyCheesus"]*Sigh* There is no secret game, this is like the "September Surprise" all over again.Erebyssial
if anything wii Sports should not have a sequal but an expansion of the original game. Online play tweaks to original games and add like one new one.Cyber-
well theres another thread that says that there is a wii sports 2...so yeah, but odviously its not the "secret" game.
btw----> whens E3 on?
its probably kid icarus. i remember gamepro regarded it as one of the greatest games of all time because it combined the gameplay styles of mario, zelda, and metroid effectivelyDaCool2008
its funny how so many of Nintendo's great IPs remain in the backwaters of history while they churn out sooo many mario games
I highly doubt a new earthbound/mother title. At least not a completely new one. EarthBound 64 was cancelled because of Shigesato Itoi's inexperience with 3D. Mother 3 was released in 2006, which is quite recent, so it doesnt make any sense for a new 3D earthbound on the Wii. Furthermore, he's stated that Mother 3 is the last in the series.
I'm leaning heavily on a new Pikmin or Kid Icarus. If any of you have seen the gametrailers interview with reggie, he said something about maximizing key franchises. Kid Icarus is one of the most cherished nes games ever, so it makes sense to count it as a key franchise, Pit's appearence in brawl further emphasizes this. Pikmin is a fairly new franchise, but it's already extremely popular with tthe 2nd in the series being a AAA title, and Olimar also made an appearence in brawl.
so i say, Pikmin 3 or Kid Icarus Sequel.

Appearantly Kid Icarus is not one of nintendo's most cherished franchises. We havent seen a real sequal.
Anyway I would love to see Earthbound 64 redone on Wiiware. I have never seen anything so perfectly fitted. Its said most of the game was finished when they cancelled it.
I'm telling you guys that it's a new Donkey Kong Country or something. They said that it would be one of the old classics, and we have not seen Donkey Kong for a while now.
THINK ABOUT IT!
GBA = None
DS = None
Gamecube = None
(I'm talking about a real NEW Donkey Kong here)
Even if they did say that Mother 3 was the last in the series, couldn't they do a collection of 1, 2, and 3 for DS or VC or something like that? Never got to play Earthbound and would love to be able to.
Anyways, I would love to see a new Kid Icarus. I've played it a little and really enjoyed it, wouldn't mind seeing it similar to God of War but obviously with a few more twists to it.
Others that would be nice would be Pikmin 3 (though I don't think that's what they are announcing, didn't they say a revival of an old franchise?), a new Donkey Kong Country (or something like DK64, another great game :) ), or a new Ice Climbers. They have the models and the moves and such, and it is an old franchise.
It would be really cool if Nintendo began a new franchise (somewhere along the lines of RPG) or brought Kid Icarus or Ice Climbers back from their early grave. If it's a sequel from a still going Nintendo Franchise than I'm hoping for Pikmin 3.lex_in_the_moon

It would be rpetty cool to see Nintendo's take on a FPS. A company that is always doing something different needs to DO something different. They were close to a FPS with MP3. Why not try it. WHile pS3 and 360 a flooded with crappy FPS, the wii barely has anything in that genre.Cyber-
EQUALS.
AWESOME. Nintendo make a new franchise based on a FPS! think about it!!
[QUOTE="rexCo"]Actually I'd love to see that; but Nintendo will have to abandon their whole Friend code obsession to make online work, and therefore make the game great. jono088
yeah thats true. the code thing is really annoying....
[QUOTE="Michael85"]I think you people are hyping this idea of a secret game up more than Nintendo ever did. They only mentioned that they have a game that hardcore gamers would also enjoy.
Mind you, Nintendo's the kind that says hardcore gamers also enjoy the likes of Mario Party.
madeux
First of all, if you can't see the value of a game like Mario Party, you can hardly call yourself a TRUE hardcore gamer. Being a mindless idiot who just likes to run around and kill schtuff hardly makes you a hardcare gamer...
That said, does anyone remember the "secret" behind what it is that makes the Wii so great? They hyped the wiimote, teased us relentlessly... and they have more than lived up to that hype. Nintendo should never be underestimated. Sure, they've made errors and bad decisions, but the company has been a success through all of its more than 100 years in existence.
Btw, my vote is for a long awaited sequel to Rush'n Attack!
Dude, it's Mario Party. I don't know why you'd want to defend it as being anything other than a short distraction for hardcore gamers.
DUDE!!!! wut if it were a new Perfect Dark!!!!!!!!!! that game was the best FPS ever dudebobdood99
Perfect Dark is owned by Rare, who aren't with Nintendo anymore.
Betting all the money in my bank account that it is animal crossing wii.hayate988
Already announced to come later this year in Japan - probably early 09 everywhere else.
I decided to go and look at all of my old games and look at the ones i used to enjoy.
They could make a Pokemon stadium 3, just like the first 2 not like Pokemon battle revolution, if they did that they should add a full fledged adventure mode and allow you to import P from diamond and pearl. That would appeal to hardcore (adventure mode) and casual (mini games).
Maybe even a pokemon snap two. It would be really hard with all 490? or something like that number of pokemon.
The final would be the most unlikely, pokemon puzzle league 2. It used to be the best puzzle game (in my opinion)
What do you think about my ideas?

supercclank
I dont get why Nintendo is so stubborn when it comes to obvious ideas that wouldd push them into a new meanign of success. People have been crying for a pokemon MMO for years and years. At the very least why cant they make a Pokemon game on the console that at least matches what the significantly weaker handheld games do.
it's going to be one of the following
Kid Icarus
Star Fox
F-Zero
DK (which I highly dought since BB just came out )
Pikmin
Punch Out (hardcores will love it)
Animal Crossing
Disaster: Day of Crisis (which already has been announced over and over though)
Sadness (which I seriously dought, but could happen)
Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (just recently somewhat announced again)
or alas....a new I.P.
I know the list is lengthy...but I would lay money down on one of these above. I'm leaning more towards
Kid Icarus (never played the original, but i would love to have another 3d zelda/god of war type game)
Star Fox
Punch Out
or
a some other classic game "revived" that no one has mentioned
I do think alot of the above mentioned will have more info at E3 though....at least a good majority of them.
I don't know what it could be, because it said it will appeal to both hard core and casual, so I don't know what it could be, you see F-Zero, Star Fox, Pikmin 3, Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong, some new RPG, or some other type of platformer does not sound like a game that would also appeal to casual gamers.What are your opinions on the new game that Nintendo will be announcing in the next E3? Personally, I think it won't live up to expectations.
As of what game it is, I'm thinking something along the lines of Pikmin 3 or a Kid Icarus sequel.

So, who knows what it will be, I bet it will be something completly crazy, something we all were not expecting, but the thing is, they could announce this new thing and a new "Hard core" game, like they could easily come out and announce the Sims 3 wii, and also announce a new F-Zero game or something like that.
Also, please stop the Earth bound stuff, they won't bring it over, it would make no sense, the Mother game they brought over was #2, and their is now a 3rd one, they've ported 1+2+3 to the GBA and still have never brought them over, so they would of done it by now if they were gonna do it, plus, I think Earth Bound is a Niche game, it would not come close to appealing to many, the same with Kid Icarus, Now don't get me wrong, I love Mother and Kid Icarus, but I don't think they will bring new games out for these franchises, well, Im sure they will make a new mother game, but not here.
I'm still hoping for Duck Hunt RPG.
On a serious note, I don't really see them announcing anything that will really get people hyped up too much. If it's something like Kid Icarus, then sure there will be fans that will hype it up, but I just can't see Ninty announcing anything that will get the general public too excited.
Now if they did a modern day remake of Kung Fu, however... :P
[QUOTE="monty_4256"]I am almost certain that the title will be animal crossing
after the nintendo power thingy about a big new RPG, which I predicted it was talking about a release date for tales of btw, I don't think it will be anything we wouldn't have thought of, or even knew that it was coming
yea but dident they already anouce that
sry for all the posts but remember if this is wii think motion i mean ive never played the kid icarces but pikman 3 wat would the motion be like throwing pikman O_O
The New Zelda, anyone??? They have been developing one for the Wii like for two years now. It SHOULD be announced on E3 or somenthing, don't you people think? Anyway, it must be a game that appeals toalmost everyone. I know that Pikmin doesn't, as well as Earthbound. It must be one of the big titles or something, or a resurrection of ald classic, but probably won't be appealing to everyone, that's for sure (not even even Zelda is appealing to everyone)
