What if we had the following voice actors, also I just made up general characters here that could easily be in:
King of Hyrule - Micheal Gambon
Zelda - Kiera Knightly (not too excited about this one but couldn't find much better)
Tingle - Sacha Baron Cohen
Ganondorf - Alan Rickman
Butler to the royal Family - Hugh Grant
Butler who is actually a Traitor - Johnny Depp
Link's Guardian - Liam Neeson
New character with a personality similar to Midna's - Helena Bonham Carter
Queen Zora - Cate Blanchett
Leader of Gorons - Eric Banner (again not too confident with this one)
Hylian Army Captain - Patrick Stewart
Wise Sage - Ian McKellen
[QUOTE="theweakbear"]There was a YouTube video about a Zelda game that I saw that WAS NOT wind waker but looked like it. I checked again and it was taken off.LedRoseShredder
It was Japan only, or cancelled, not sure, and was a puzzle type game, I think. I do know it was a casual game. Oh and epicpets, I cannot believe you have never played a Zelda game! It's one of the best gaming franchises ever! Try TP or OoT if a friend has it, ask him if you could borrow/buy it from him (:
Was this it http://www.gametrailers.com/player/1885.html(look at second half) It was called Tetra's Adventure it came bundle with Four Swords Adventure only in Japan.
LOL at Johnny Depp. I think that lists OK, but I doubt the game would have such big stars. You know what I mean?MaceKhan
Of course the game won't have such big stars but we can dream :D. Also when I made the list I asked myself, where does Johnny Depp fit in, he has to be in!

Yes, it's that game. I found it once and thought it'd be cool, but realized it was a weird casual game and I hate those.

Yeah, I think that character fits perfectly with Johnny Depp, considering his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow.[QUOTE="radicalplace"][QUOTE="MaceKhan"]LOL at Johnny Depp. I think that lists OK, but I doubt the game would have such big stars. You know what I mean?MaceKhan

[QUOTE="radicalplace"][QUOTE="ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ"][QUOTE="radicalplace"]Don't bold and make your text bigger, its annoying. Also he said WW is second only to WW, which is true by review scores.
Also TP is the worst game in the Zelda series apart from AoL (Adventure of Link). He obviously has played TP and not liked it as much as previous Zelda titles, like most.
ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ
LoL gamespot gives you the option to use a word processor to bold your text and I am just not going to use it now cuz some lil kid whines about my text size.... get over it... And no that is not what he had said read his post over again... TP is longer then most zelda games and has better graphics controls weapons and storyline...
I know its an option, doesn't make it any less annoying. Also I made an error. I meant that he said WW was only second to OoT. And yes, he quite clearly says that.
If you love TP, thats ok, its a good game but your in the minority of Zelda fans. Also TP's storyline isn't better. Infact I believe its very untrue to the series, like alot of others.
I agree that OoT is better then wind waker but TP is was better then WW... All great games in my top games of all time... however i cant really see how that TP is "untrue" whatever that mean to the series... Every single zelda game is different.... The triforce is always there zelda is alwayz there? gorons check zoras check? It has most of the same weapons and a couple new ones which was refreshing... I dont really understand how anyone could have possibly complained about a game that stepped zelda up in every way possible.... comparing WW to TP is like comparing super mario galaxy to super mario sunshine... there just really is no comparison one is definately newer fresher and better then the other? And if i am part of a minority of zelda fans then that is fine... I would rather think for myself then follow a herd of mindless thoughtless sheep aye?
Have u ever played WW? It has better gameplay, bosses, dungeons, character, items, and a better story then TP by far.
Also ur comparison of WW and TP to sunshine and galaxy is completely backwards

This seems more like an opinion. I have played all of the 3D zelda games and I prefer twilight princess over wind waker. I liked wind waker , but twilight princess was just more my fun I preferd the storyline, gameplay, boss battles, transportation, and just found it more fun. I would not mind seeing some new things ( although I thaught twilight did offer that as well with the wolf mechanics). It seems like many fans just cannot be satisfied. One idea that I think could be interesting is to see how well techno music would do. with techno remixes of great songs, just an idea, since it worked in metroid prime. I also think it would be neet if Ganondorf had a son who at first is a good guy and dosnt know he is ganons son but then ganon munipulates him an he becomes AGHANIM( I know it might seem a bit like a star wars rip off but it was just an idea) and you have to fight him in a long epic one on one sword fight that begins at the top of the pyramid of power and goes all over the sacerd realm. And it must have link in it, and zelda, to me it just does not feel complete without these charecter. maybie they could make a DS spin off game also where you play as zelda( a good one, not those crappy CDI ones) kind of like Super princess peach. Anywhay I hope I here about it soon as well as some other games that are hopefully anounced, like starfox, maybie kid icaris, pikman 3, possibly a 2D metroid game for the DS, and more.
I wouldn't mind not having Gannondorf. TP was cool especially fighting the Morph boss before Gannondorf but having Gannondorf as the end boss was kind of dissappointing. Playing as Zelda would be kind of cool since all she does is get captured and expect link to save her all the time and what does link get? Nothing, he goes right back to his crappy job working with the goats at the ranch.favre4thewinHistory tells us that any Zelda game that actually has the player control Zelda is a bad idea.
I doubt that a new Zelda is going to be announced this year anyway. For the second year in a row, I'm hoping for a Star Fox Wii announcement.
[QUOTE="Ngamer07"]Those all sound like pretty good ideas to me.i hope they either make a direct sequel of tp, bring majora back,or put vatti in the ww universe and make a game out of that. Either would be nice
MaceKhan
They sound good to me to. TP ended with many untied ends. I'd also like to see a game where Hero of Time Link is still searching for Navi or doing something or other. It sort of seems fitting that Hero of Winds Link will travel forever around the ocean with his trusty pirate crew and friends but Hero of Time Link is walking a lonely road, it would be interesting to see where he goes and what happens to him.

Things that could progress the series imo.
1.) VA is a must imo. I honestly thought TP was going to have it as a surprise, but alas...it didn't. I don't understand why people are so scared when it comes to their beloved text based Zelda games. Metroid pulled it off perfectly, and no one complained, so I don't understand what the big deal is.
2.) Make the game have difficulty settings. Easy/Normal/Hard/ and even a "Legend" bonus for beating the game would give us something to do after we beat the game.
3.) Push the Wii to max graphically. TP pushed the GC. (Zelda games are known for this.) So Nintendo has to at least do this.
4.) Don't tack on the controls. A) I hope Ninty enhanced TP's engine B) I hope to god the re-worked the sword controls. I don't expect 1:1, but if you're gonna give us moves to use that we have to search for....give us a reason to use them!!! Whether it be similiar to NMH mechanics or whatever...make us actually fight the enemies, and use our brain. (that is why we have them ya know).
5.) Give us a reason to actually keep items. Chu Chu Jelly Health Jelly??? Why bother giving us that when you get hearts galore! Why give us items that only have a purpose in one dungeon? I liked the ball in chain, I liked the dual clawshots, but they were only good for the dungeon and a few other non necessary things.
Two more possibilities for the Clawshots/Ball n Chain if they decide to keep them.
Clawshots- after you progress into other areas. Puzzles could be implemented into the enviroment for you to advance. Jump off of a cliff while locked on and use the clawshots to reach a far ledge or something. Lock onto two enemies at once, clawshot each one, and slam the enemies into eachother. (basically do a clapping motion with the Wiimote and Nunchuk).
Ball n Chain- There was alot of magnetic fields, and obviously...the BnC is made of metal. If there's a field that is in the center of the ceiling, and a ledge on the other side of the room...how is that ledge obtainable? (if there wasn't a path to walk down while upside down) Well, you could turn the BnC into a magnetic swing. It would stick to the ceiling, and then allow you to swing across the gap.
6.) Make the story understandable. There was a lot of debate about the ending of TP. I won't go into details for the cry babys that haven't finished the game by now, but it could be taken a few different ways. Just finish the game, and make sure the story is understandable.
7.) Give us something to do besides wander around. (Hyrule or where ever) TP was a good size...but there was nothing to do in the field besides ride Epona. Throw a small forest in the field, maybe a traveling salesman or two, a shop...and for God's sake....let us have some communication between the characters!!! There wasn't a huge point in talking to the citizens of Hyrule. They really didn't offer any good information (at least that I remember). Compared to OoT's Hyrule Castle- it was empty. It looked like it had more to do, but in actuallity...it was almost as barren as the Snow Peak. Throw some game shops in or something!
8.) The boss patterns have to be changed PRONTO! They bosses of Zelda games have always been beautiful, intimidating, and pretty much predictable. It's time to change it up and make them some what of a formidable foe, Not just eye candy.
9.) Give us something to do with WiiConnect24. It would shake things up a bit, and I'm not asking for a WoW type of bonus. Even a hub you could hang out in (with people in your region) as your Mii avatar with Link Clothing on would be a neat little additive. Even a Duel mode would be something different. It would show what can be done, and you don't wanna be shown up by Lucasarts, do you??? haha
that's all I'm asking for right now. I think if they fixed all that, it would bring the series up to date for the time being until we get a more powerful console that can do more. I'm by no means ripping on the Wii...but I want the best Zelda of all time to have HD graphics with motion. I can wait another 5 - 6 yrs for that. Just give me a solid game with the above, and I'll be content.
this is kind of irrelevant but they should have that song System Of A Down made. It was the Zelda theme with Serj singing and guitars ect. it was awsomenessaleco2012
GANNON-BANNED
sorry I just had to do this, this topic is making me remember old times
I know there's hundreds of these threads here, but this is an important question:
Will the new 2008/2009 Zelda be different from all the others?
LedRoseShredder
What makes you think there will be a new Zelda game released this or next year? if anything I bet you there will be a teaser till 2009 if we are lucky.
zelda won't become casual, it's not really possible. Auonuma knows the power behind this, and knows what it's about, he's not gonna change it (somehow, I really can't see how) into a casual game.
all we do know, if it's evolving, then it's gonna be worth it. Nintendo don't change their franchises needlessly, and when they change zelda games... it tends to be good... for all gaming
 You got some good ideas there. I agree with harder boss battles and better combat skills to fight foes. I think that the idea of using items like you mentioned would be great as well. The only thing I am iffy about is voice acting. I am just not sure...yet.Things that could progress the series imo.

Only thing, No "New Character LIKE Midna", just bring her back, if they could make it work into the story somehow.
[QUOTE="LedRoseShredder"]No new character, huh? Well, yeah but I really want Tingle to return. TP wasnt the same without him.MaceKhanNO! One of the best things about TP was that Tingle wasn't there.
I didn't even like TP that much, I hated having to turn into a wolf and clearing the Twilight, it was boring, repetive, and Im picky about games, like what the weathers mostly like in a game, if its dark gloomy w/e, and the Wolf quests were exactly like that, so I wasnt fond of it. Midna.. Well the transport thing was good. Tingle's freakin awesome haha
