I'm with you. I don't see the appeal in collecting items, and only collecting items. Why would I want to decorate a house, and collect nuts, and berries, just to have? I don't see how it could be fun going fishing everyday, getting "mail" from the person next door, and hearing the annoying language the local residence speak in. I have played Animal Crossing on the DS. In face in was my first DS game. However I returned it withing 3 days. The AC games just don't appeal to me.
Does this game really work out well on a console? To me this game suits nice on a portable, u know when travelling u can pop out the dS and play, but on a console this game seems dull, but i am willing to give Animal Crossing Wii a chance.

Im kind of with you... I know I will love the game but Im pretty sure I will like the handheld version better... I like to watch TV while I play if Im at home or I like to be able to play if im not... also Im afraid I'll feel bad hogging up the TV for as many hours as I play this game...

Hey, i know this is kinda unfair, but from what Ive heard and I believ I saw a quote of it, Wii Speak is no longer coming bundled with Animal Crossing. You have to buy it seperate for I believe $29.99. Strange huh?

Ok I understand you have your own opinion and all, but wow that sounds immature. People like it because it's DIFFERENT. We get tired of the same ole same ole all the time. In AC you can do things at your own pace, make your town your own sanctuary from the real world.
It's a game you can play forever if you like. I wish we had more unique games like it personally.
