Nintendo's got pleanty of franchises. Aside from the few you mentioned, Custom Robo, Pikmin, Chibi Robo, Drill Dozer, Yoshi, Zelda (we don't include ports), Drill Dozer, Disaster, Donkey Kong, Baten Kaitos and F-Zero haven't had their games released yet, and all have NP cover potential (with the possible exception of Custom Robo). And if Nintendo brings back a couple classic franchises, like the rumored Kid Icarus and Punch-Out!! revivals, then the possibilities become even greater with StarTropics and Ice Climbers making a possible come-back.
Especially good point on the revival of old franchises. I'd like to see a new Mole Mania and, in particular, an actual released version of Dragon Hopper. And, of course, what's to stop Nintendo from creating a totally new IP? (Oh, and you apparently neglected to mention Densetsu no Stafy in your Nintendo franchises list. Of course, it's not really a new franchise, having existed in Japan for a while, and we're talking Wii games instead of GBA/DS games. However, the series seems to have enough of a following in Japan to the point where several characters showed up in SSBB(as well as making me curious about the series in general), and it's not like they couldn't make a new entry in the series for the Wii, possibly bringing it to English-speakers in the process. After all, the Kirby series started on the Game Boy and moved to consoles afterward, right?)
