SMG2 needs the freshness of the first game, which is impossible.

JAB991

Exactly. Now the closer the sequels work towards perfection the more the Uncanny Valley effect kicks in.

I say they also need to get rid of the underwater levels. I hate them the most of all in 3d Mario games.

not havinig repeating gameplay.

Moonknight_1209
This. I didn't like it that some of the bosses were recycled and that you could get a star by doing the same level twice.

What? Underwater is great, it just needs some improvement! Although, as long as we're in space I'd like to see some zero gravity missions with basically the same principals.

Yea that would be pretty cool.

Yeah, I've no idea why people complain about them. Because they are horrible at controlling Mario under water? I think the swimming never have been this good in any Mario before. Changing directions was easy and centering the camera works perfect under water.

What? Heck no. Most Prankster comets where cheap copouts. Instead of actually having 7 levels for each galaxy, they recycled quite a few or just added coins. Prankster comets should be extras, not entire levels.

Have something really new on the gameplay, ans as you mention, that could be done with new Yoshi-related gameplay. I don't want that SMG2 feels like an expansion pack from the original one. This better be an innovative sequel.

Well, first of all get rid of the trickster comets: i want to be able to try to obtain ANY star at ANY time.

i dont want to feed that F'ing luma any more star bits JUST so i get another go at Purple coins on the Toy world....

second, i want the home world to not look like crap. All the different houses just make it feel cluttered, like a child's box of abandoned toys

What it needs is to be/have a higher difficulty and better stage designs. Galaxy was to easy and I didnt like how the stages were made, so I hope Galaxy 2 doesnt have these problems.

I also want there to be a massive stage. I thought that all of the stages in Super Mario Galaxy were way too small, spread out, and just plain crazy. Sure those stages were good but I just thought there were too many. What I'm saying is that I would like more stages like the one where Mario first finds the Bee suit. That was one of my favorite stages in the game.
