umm..depends..
if i were to recommend wii games that use motion controls that i liked:
Okami
metriod prime: corruption
star wars the force unleashed (the first one)
indiana jones staff of kings
tomb raider anniversary
super mario galaxy1&2
Wii Party (good motion minigames fun with family)
fishing resort (simple fun fishing..get the rod attachment for more motion gimmick!)
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Skyward Sword. What Mario 64 did for 3D platformers, Skyward Sword is going to do for motion control.
star wars the force unleashed (the first one)

lol dude thats literally the #1 definition of waggle.
On topic, my list would go:
I didn't include games that mainly rely on IR aiming, but it makes FPS games soooo fun :)
1. Metroid Prime Trilogy
2. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
3. Skyward Sword
These are the only three that I've played where I feel the motion control enhances the experience rather than just existing and being closer to more of a nuisance.
How did the waggle in SMG "enhance the experience"?1. Metroid Prime Trilogy
2. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
3. Skyward SwordThese are the only three that I've played where I feel the motion control enhances the experience rather than just existing and being closer to more of a nuisance.

Skyward Sword is the ideal of motion controls, no other game even comes close.

Because they're used in subtle ways without becoming overbearing. Using the waggle for the spinning move is faster and more intuitive than using an analog stick, and collecting star pieces all the time is fun, yet you aren't really paying attention while it's happening. Then throw in some "vehicle" and swimming stuff, and I feel the motion controls do enhance the experience. Skyward Sword is good too, but I found them a little cumbersome at times, and feel Metroid Prime Trilogy and the Galaxy games handled it better.

But are the motion controls in SMG an improvement over a simple button press? They felt pointless to me, the experience would have been the same.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]

I would give very high recommendations to:
Skyward Sword
No More Heroes
Red Steel 2
and Tiger Woods
Also, I would recommend FPS games such as Goldeneye Wii and Conduit as well as Silent Hill Shattered Memories and House of the Dead Overkill because the IR is part of the controller even if its not really motion based.
Special mention should also go to Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands.

You said more intuitive than an analog stick, which I agree with, an analog stick spin would have been worse. But I don't see how it is anything more than just replacing a button press with a waggle just for the sake of shoehorning in motion controls when they aren't necessary.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="meetroid8"] But are the motion controls in SMG an improvement over a simple button press? If you agree that flicking your wrist is more intutitve than using an analog stick and pressing A, that's all there is to it. If you want to go down that route, then the motion controls in Skyward Sword and Metroid Prime Trilogy aren't necessary if you swap motion for analog and button pressing like how they were in previous entries.
Boom Blox and Boom Blox Bash Party are great games that use the IR and Motion Control. You don't need Motion Plus to play them. But for single player or with a group, I would pick either one of those titles. EA just shut down the servers for Boom Blox Bash Party, so you lose any online functionality.

No, SS required too much precision to be able to use just a button press. The spin in SMG required no precision what so ever, it was just waggle. A button press would have yielded the same results. Motion controls weren't necessary in the MP Trilogy, IR aiming was the real innovation there.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]

But are the motion controls in SMG an improvement over a simple button press? They felt pointless to me, the experience would have been the same.I think so. They are sensitive enough that they are just as accurate as a button press, but they have a tactile feel to them. Shaking left to right makes you feel a bit more like you're spinning mario. It's one less abstraction (even a small one) between the game and the player.
I remember when I played Mario Land 3D I kept shaking my 3DS. I had to retrain myself to not do what felt natural.
Yeah I think that game is cool, its just 360 or ps3 visuals away from being one of the best ever.I'm sure you heard this already but if you like games that use motion control great get Skyward Sword.

lol dude thats literally the #1 definition of waggle.
why are you just focusing on the saber play? the best part of the controls of the game is using the Force.
controlling the light saber is a great fun missing on part2..

Because the saber play is 95% of the game, and its literally just waggle.

No, the lightsaber swung in the same direction the controller was motioned. Waggle is TP's random shaking.[QUOTE="WreckEm711"][QUOTE="KBFloYd"]
