What is The Best Mario Party?

So im pretty sure this goes here... kinda dumb how vague the boards are here

but im thinking about renting mario party 8... is it good or which ones are the best?

Either 2 or 3. I think 4 is easily the worst one.

I only owned Mario Party 3 so I will go with that

Not a fan of 8. Don't like the maps, 3/4 of the minigames, the over-dramatic animations for EVERYTHING. Theres a few things I like about it but for me the pros just don't out-weigh the cons.

I don't know what is the best one but I've played probably every mario party game and 1 has always been my favourite. I also really like 2. Anything after was meh for me. I kept hoping every installment for the magic found in 1 and 2 but I havn't found it.

Mario Party 2 is the best.

On the GameCube, 4 is the best one.

On the N64, it's 2 or 3.

On the Wii I guess 8 wins by default, but I didn't like it.

Then again, if you've never played a Mario Party game you may end up liking it. I've played 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8....... Kinda sick of it after 4, actually. :P

Mario Party 7. Was that the one with the microphone? That was some super retarded fun.

I have played 2,4,5,6 7 and 8 and 8 was the worst one while I felt number 2 and 5 were the best ones.

After playing Mario Party 1 - 6, 2 remains my favorite. I didn't like any of them after 4.

This thread is a year and a half old, that's why.

Anyway, am I the only one that wants to see a Mario Party with a huge compilation of the best minigames from the entire series? There are so many good ones (and even more bad ones, unfortunately) and I wish to play them all in one game.
