Wikipedia is your friend. It saves alot of time if you check there for information. I think there's also a good Screw Attack video that covers alot of the good points of the Saturn original.

I know it's a cult classic and all (not a lot of people played the game, though), but the game looks, in my opinion, both boring and ugly. I don't have high hopes for this game..Litchie

When people look at gameplay vids from the Saturn version they probably think the same. It's one of those games you have to play to realize what your missing.

I was about to include the exact same thing you just wrote in my post.. :P I guess because I didn't play the original is why I'm not very interested. If a lot of people say that the original was an awesome game, or one of the best games they've played, I could take their word for it, but I've seen about 3 people on this site who've actually played it, you included. I also don't really get why this game looks like an early GC game so far, but that will hopefully change.

Where have you been seeing he screenshots from? Gamespot? Gamespot has always had poorly done screenshots, the current Nintendo Power has screens that should better reflect how this game looks, heck, IGN probably has better shots. But honestly, this seems like one of those games that looks much better in motion than what stills could demonstrate. I was never a Sega person, and was unaware the Saturn even existed until a few years ago, so I missed this title. And from what I've heard of its predecessor, I'm quite excited for how this one will turn out.

I've seen screenshots from this game from a lot of sites. It does look like an early GC game. Sure, it might look better in motion, which games almost always do, but this have to be one hell of a fast game if you don't notice that the graphics looks like that. I noticed the graphics in F-Zero GX just fine.

Since I haven't played the original game, there just isn't anything to look forward to so far. The gameplay doesn't look interesting, the graphics are ugly and SEGA hasn't made a game for years that have interested me.

i had a sega saturn and there were a slew of great games for it, Nights being one of them.

just like any other game, you'd have to play it yourself to appreciate it. personally, i'm super hyped about a Nights sequal coming to the Wii, and will get it for sure!

It's simple. You didn't play on the original NiGHTS. I did and it was so awesome. All Sega has to do is not screwing this game. Also, Sega should port the original either by a bonus on the sequel or by the virtual console. chris3116

It would be nice if as a preorder bonus you got the original.
