What Nintendo IPs will come out this year and fall? (do you think)

every year a few core Nintendo franchises, and some new IPs come out for Wii

I'd say no Wii Zelda so Spirit Tracks gets full market attention

lets compare Wii nintendo IPs: 2007; Mario Strikers, Big Brain, Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem, BWii, Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, DK Barell Blast, Mario Party 8 (it can be noted some of these were GCN ports)

2008: Mario Kart, Brawl, Mario Baseball, Animal Crossing, Endless Ocean, Wario Land, Wii Music, Wii Fit

we already know Punch out, Excitebots, Sin and Punishment 2, and Takt of Magic. Wii Sports Resort....and in the US Fatal Frame and Disaster haven't come out (FF not looking like it will but i'm hopeful nintendo is just meaning to fill an eventual release date hole)

I'd say Pikmin 3 will be formally annoucned, shown off , and come out this fall. Also, Maybe that constantly delayed Kirby game from GCN will appear on Wii this year, with a new title. as for new titles i think thats it, perhaps a new mario, zelda, star fox, yoshi could get annouced at nintendo confernece 09, but i'm talking about what games will be on store shelves this year

so all in all i expect nintendo to put out in 09: Takt of Magic (cool looking RTS/RPG), Pikmin 3, Kirby Wii, Wii Sports Resort, Sin and Punishment 2, Excite Bots, Punch Out, and maybe either Disaster or FF in the usa, Pikmin 3 being the centerpiece of their 2009 fall line up followed by S&P2, and Kirby

There are a few other games that were announced with Takt of Magic and Sin and Punishment(back in October). Endless Ocean 2, Line attack Heros, Another Code, Kensax(surprisingly a pretty decent looking mini-game collection), Dynamic Slash, Cosmic Walker.

We will also get an announcement or two that come from out of nowhere(like Captain Rainbow, WarioLand, Excitebots), and I would say Pikmin 3 is a given this year(along with the Kirby game they insist is coming).

Disaster has been out in Europe since October now. Fatal Frame will hopefully follow suit, NOA is obviously not taking things seriously.

i expect this year's conference to be pretty good, to be honest. S&P2 will be announced for NA and EU with a release date or at least a month. Pikmin MAY get announced, not too sure. I don't think the Kirby game exists any more. Wii Sports Resort will sell buckets though. We may get details on a new IP. But you never know, Nintendo is full of surprises so I'm definitely trying to expect the unexpected.

That's what most people think, but 2 years in a row now it has been listed by Nintendo as a game coming out in that year.

I really want a new F-Zero as well, but it looks like ExciteBots will be Nintendo's only racing game this year, as having two may be overdoing the genre. A surprise Starfox announcement would be godly, but I'd still be very happy with Pikmin 3 and Kirby.

I don't expect half of those games Nintendo has shown in the video clip (from their Fall conference 08) to come out this year.

is all I expect to hit this year. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those never see light, or at least NA releases
