I'm getting the new Metroid Prime Trilogy and i thought about it... Well i will start playing them in order. Then i realized, because i beat Metroid Prime 3, that my last expirience with the Prime Series would be Prime 2, Which is said to be the worst one! Should i Start with Prime 2 instead of Prime 1! I won't be missing anything will I?

You know they number them for a reason right?

See the 1 means it's the first one and the 2 means the second one

Yeah pretty much, even if you played Prime 3 already, you might as well start over. And Prime 2 is the least best of 3 great games so that makes it still a great game.

If you have all three games at your disposal, I think it's best to play the first one. Afterall, it was the original Metroid Prime that captivated millions of gamers around the world with a fresh take on the series, and you'll gain a better sense of the series' roots this way. Plus, it's still that dang awesome! :)

The second one is quite repetitive. I suggest starting with the first one incase you get bored midway through the second and stop playing altogether lol.

Play them in the order they were meant to be played. The second one still got really good reviews and it does improve upon its predecessor in many ways.

Heh, play the first one first. :P Many people believe that one is better, including myself, but they both have their own distinctive charm that makes them both incredibly enjoyable.

Haha; well I did enjoy the second one and I didn't think it was that repetitive. I did love how it contained the futuristic level near the end (where you fight Quadraxis0, but since he played Prime 3, he probably won't be impressed. :P The first one was much more atmospheric though. :)

"Start at the beginning, and when you get to the end, stop." I read this in a book, so it must be true.

I'm interested in this three pack, I've tried Prime 1 and 2 constantly, yet for some reason never got quite into them despite accepting they are pretty good games. Maybe it was the Gamecube controls for them which I found somewhat clumsy, in my own opinion. Maybe the Wiimote will make a difference, so I might just get this three pack and work my way through the series from beginning to end.

The others are quite correct, start with Prime 1, finish that, then start 2, finish that and proceed to 3. Maybe doing it that way might give more story and might immerse you into the series.

uuuh... pretty much what eveyone should've said. prime 2 isnt "the worst". it's like the first prime, and because of that, no shocking "OMG its metroid in first person". then why isnt prime 3 labeled a "not so awesome" game too? because it has wii controls. in other words, they're all in the same level of awesomeness... or at least will be once the trilogy's released.

Prime 2 isn't that bad IMO, I've never played 1, but I figure you should go in order if possible.

It's generally a good idea to start at the beginning. When you get to then end, stop.

I haven't beaten any of them, so I'm going to play them in order.

Also, my friend gave me a guide for the first one (Perfect Condition) a few years ago, so I could use that.

Playing from back to front sounds pretty lame actually. Just play them in order and play Corruption again.

I haven't played Corruption yet, but i'm hoping it's not much like Metroid Prime 2. The light and dark world theme was poorly used and became tedious. It made backtracking tedious, which usually makes a Metroid experience more enjoyable. Then you have the bosses, which were far easier than in the first game. And then you have the actual overworld, which was quite messy and uninspired compared to the first Prime game. Everyone to their own, but I felt Metroid Prime 2 was a pretty poor game. Yeah it got some great reviews, but it lacks the effort that every other Metroid game has been given and so the experience is pretty weak.

Prime 1 is the better game and its first in the series, so go with that.

MP3 is my favorite with 2 a close second. What would have put 2 over the top would have been making the annihilator beam more powerful. You spend all that time getting it, then it doesn't really do a whole lot more damage than the power beam. In MP3, when you got a new beam, it had a significant increase in damage.

The first is the best in my opinion. Just do whatever you want. Nobody is going to kill you if you play them out of order.

On a side note, I try to never play any games in a series out of order :P So I think you know what I would suggest.
