What was your reaction to Metroid at E3?

I recognized the team ninja intro, and I was like ok so it's Dead or Alive.

Then I saw space and I was like, ok so it's DoA in space,

And then I heard, "Any objections lady?" and I thought to myself, 'Lady? Wait a sec....'

Zero Suit Samus shows up..... OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OOOOMMMMMGGGG!!!!! A NEW METROID. and then I screamed, cried and called all my friends who own Wii's

EDIT: I'm 21 years old by the way...

What was my reaction?...a dejected sigh.

It reminds me of Castlevania: Lament Of Innocence for the PS2. It should be really good...I'll get it day 1 regardless and make my own assessment as I absolutely love Metroid.

I just hope it lives up to it's own potential. It could be the best Metroid game ever!

Yeah, I was actually really impressed with Metriod at E3.

I'm not a huge Metriod fan, but I was blown away.

I was very suprised by the direction and developer. It's when they started talking about fleshing out Samuses' back story and make it more about her as acharacter did I start getting OMG!! It's just what I wanted for the next installment and I'm highly optimistic.

Well first off to make it clear I consider myself to be one of the planets largest Metroid freaks lol. Samus is my video gaming life's blood, so you bet I had a pretty strong reaction ;)

After sitting through Nintendo's admittedly pitiful press conference I knew thanks to Reggie that this was their megaton trailer. Of course I didn't know what it was going to be. I saw this woman, in a space setting. "A storied Nintendo franchise" but what the heck was this? After the captain asked "any objections Lady?" it was in a matter of about 1.5 seconds staring at the blonde girl's face in reaction at the moment we see her in the zero suit. "Ohmygod...Samus!" At that moment I completely flipped out lol! It was like a repeat of the Twilight Princess reaction in '04 (which I attended btw ;D ) Watching the glory of all this new 3rd person Samus action, which I've been wanting 3rd person since the conlusion of the Prime trilogy, was just overload. I was jumping and hooting like a little kid...and I turn 29 next month!

How amazing this new Metroid looks coupled with being SO disappointed with Nintendo's showing up until that point was just awesome. I had my fanboy moment of this E3 and it was great!

What was it like for you given that this was Nintendo's big annoucement and throwback to us loyaltists. From Metroid fans and non-fans alike, how did you react?

At first I didn't know what it was due to the team ninja aspect but when they showed Samus in her Zero Suit, I freaked out, jumped up, ran out of the house screaming with joy (I'm not kidding). Then when they showed Mother Brain in her Super Metroid incarnation, I almost fainted at the awesomeness that was playing before me. Then I realized that Samus was doing all that MDK in her basic suit and only wondered what her other suits were going to be capable of. I couldn't wait to see some of her other suits but that would've kindaspoiledthat partso I am thankful that they didn't show any others. "Mother Metroid", here I come. That game Single Handedly won E3 for Nintendo in my opinion.

HAHA! Omg that's exactly what it was for me. I couldn't have said it better.

At first I thought it was a new Kid Icaris and I was really happy. Then I thought it was a trailer of Sin and Punishment, and I was like meh. Then i realized it was Metroid and I was like WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i pretty much screamed "ZOMFG" followed by a shoryuken of pure joy (lots of exclamation to put emphasis)!!!!!!!!!!

then i sit down and wondered i did that, since i'm not that much into the metroid series. lol

I honestly think Nintendo is confused about what to do with Metroid

I mean, the trailer was action packed, melee combat.... everything Metroid isn't!

My thoughts are mixed on this trailer. It's still early in developement, so I'll hold my judgement until I keep seeing more info, or play it. I just hope they don't turn this game into something it's not. I don't mind change, but you can't change something completely (from the original), and turn it into a completely different genre. You have to innovate and be creative. Not give it to Michael Bay, and expect it to be pure greatness just because of his resume.

That's like taking the movieDumb n Dumber, and letting Stanley Kubrick direct. It could ok.....but it could go horribly wrong as well.

The new Metroid game looks great. The color and graphics look great and it will be great to learn some of the history behind Samus and how she came to be. Now if they can get new Zelda footage out just as fast would be great too.

I've done it before (on my 21st, drinking) amd I'm a male lol

if you think about it.... females don't have anything to move, thus not allowing for different wet points.

Firstly I was like... wtf we just had a Metroid trilogy!

Then looked up Team Ninja and found out more about it and I'm like, SWEEEET!

I was quite impressed by the trailer. The action and gameplay in the game looks sweet! :D

It's pretty rad because after Corruption I've been saying how one direction I'd really love for Metroid would be to go into third person. Almost as ifa place like Tallon IV for example would act as Hyrule from any of the 3d Zelda's. It seems like that's pretty much what's happening! :D
