why are people saying wii play will be 1st! its not even a good game! people only buy it 4 the free remotevista8
But there are so many people buying the Wii Play pack, because of the controller, that the game might win as best seller.
Mario Kart
Same as last gen
Jaysonguy
Actually, Smash Bros Melee was the GC's last gen hero. So, I would say that Smash Bros Brawl will sell the most (Wii Sports aside)
They've hyped Brawl so much that I would not be surprised if it was the best-seller. Just look at how many have been sold in Japan in just two weeks. Wii Play should not even be considered a best seller since it has only been bought for the remote.
Bottom line: Brawl
I'm going with Brawl, but it's a tough call at this point.
I'm leaving Wii Play out of it. I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot people wouldn't have gotten that game if it weren't for the controller.
JAB991's Predictions!
1. Wii Sports
2. Wii Play
3. Mario Kart Wii
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
5. Wii Fit
Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_top_selling_video_games#Nintendo_GameCube says SSBM outsold Double Dash!!. If that's wrong, can someone with a Wiki knowledge fix it?
Mario Kart

Nintendo said that SSBM was the best seller.
"Super Smash Bros. Brawl: This action game launches March 9. With dozens of characters, settings, options and ways to play, it has something for everyone. The game includes characters from all across the Nintendo universe. The previous installment in the franchise went on to become the best-selling game of all time for Nintendo GameCube.

EDIT: Other than Wii Sports and Wii Play... I think Brawl, Mario Kart, or Wii Fit might be the best seller.
[QUOTE="I3loo"]either SMG or SSBBms555
yep! nintendo's strongest franchises are Super Mario , Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart. the wii does or will have all of those sequels and they will be the top of the line just like they have always been. (this is not to say that Metroid and Zelda aren good, but apparently not at the level of the top three) [personally i think SSBB will reign supreme..... i mean honestly have you seen it?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well said.[QUOTE="Jakendo"]Other than Wii Sports and Wii Play... I think Brawl, Mario Kart, or Wii Play might be the best seller.
JAB991
Umm... what?
I think that Mario Kart will outsell SSBB simply because of the wheel. It's the perfect appeal to the casual crowd.
Aw crud... I ment Wii Fit :D
bull crap! kart will NOT outsell brawl, it won't even be close. garentee this. anyone who says it will is wrong. this is a pointless thread anyway because we all kno the answer. Ridude765
No we don't. Aside from Wii Fit, Sports and Play. Kart and Brawl are both fierce competitors. Brawl will be hugely successful, but the inclusion of the wheel might be able to appeal enough to casual gamers to make them go and pick it up.

You do know there are games out now that uses a wheel right?

brawl is a very very highly anticipated game right now, i suggest u go ride around the town at look at the front of some stores. im my district. huber heights ohio. i have 3 gamestops with huge posters on front of brawl. i went in one and it hade about 5 large game cases of brawl enlarged to be 10 times there size, about the size of a large printer. all stacked up on top of each other so u can see it as soon as u walk in. i saw no preferences at all for kart until i took a look in this book of games coming out, on the counter. i also saw posters on front of blockbusters. inside wal mart there were poster in the entertainment section. in all this i saw nothing for kart. u don't think all these posters and advertisements won't catch the eye of the casual gamres. just wait and see.[QUOTE="JAB991"][QUOTE="Ridude765"]bull crap! kart will NOT outsell brawl, it won't even be close. garentee this. anyone who says it will is wrong. this is a pointless thread anyway because we all kno the answer. None of which promoted it like Nintendo already has started doing. Three Wiimote wheels on the box shows they're going to drive that point in.

Nintendo will only put their 100% advertising force behind one game at a time and Brawl is being released first.

I guess you have a point, but right now we can only predict how far Nintendo is going to promote the wheel.
I love how jaysonguy is speechless after this

either way, brawl, it will sell somewhere in the 10-12 million units range(my personal prediction)
PyroPice
As I said in another thread there's really nothing to argue about until I contact Nintendo because I'm really interested how it pulled ahead
I still think Wii Play wins all though

It sold more units, period. It never "pulled ahead". Smash Bros. was always the best selling Cube game. Smash launched 2 years before Kart and was always ahead in the sales numbers.
Moral of the story: Don't trust Vgchartz. They are no more (maybe even less) reliable than Wikipedia.

Finally after all this time we find out Jasonguy was wrong and Melee was the best-seller. And, his trusty link vgchatz.com is really just a load of ****. This is a red letter day. Well with that said I say brawl will be the best seller. Please Log In to post.
