Legend of the Mystical Ninja or Ordyne or is there another one I am missin that offers better co-op?
I'm thinking Contra III. But there's actually a surprisingly large number of co-op games on the VC, just not a lot of good ones.

Streets or Rage isn't a bad coop. You can play coop on the VC version, right? Kicking thugs down with a buddy is always fun in that game.
