What's the point of classic controller's LB buttons if you can't play GC games with it? The LB buttons on the C. controller are pressure sensitive w/secondary click like the GC LR buttons.

Do you mean the shoulder buttons? Because those are needed for SNES and N64 games.

yes I meant the Left and Right shoulder buttons. Those buttons are like the gamecube shoulder buttons, so what's the point of them if they can't be used to play GC games? No non-GC games support those type of buttons, so why didn't they make it like the snes single click shoulder buttons?

Because some Wii games are compatible with the Classic controller.

Any one that utilized the LR buttons properly? And future ones won't likly use the pressure sensitive dual click shoulder buttons anyway. Only nintendo really used them in gc games and they won't likly make any wii games that will require the use of the classic controller.

The classic controller is for the VC in the first place. Did you have a SNES or a N64? Both of their controllers had L/R buttons.

Super Nintendo games use the shoulder buttons and Super Smash Brawl will support the classic controller. It says right on the dedicated site.

SSBB will probably use them... and if they don't cost too much to add, why not add them? It just opens up more possibilities.

I am not referring to the L and R button in general, but the point that those buttons are like the Gamecube shoulder buttons - i.e., they are pressure sensitive triggers with a secondary click. The classic controller doesn't support GC games yet it's only GC games that use those pressure sensitive shoulder buttons.

The controller has the buttoms to play snes and n64 games as well as wii games that would be controlled by the controller. Not having the buttoms would be stupid.

why are you all bashing him. hes just saying that the classic controller has the same type of buttons as the gamecube, yet it cant be used to play the gamecube. Regardless of what type of buttons it has, it should be able to be used with the gamecube games, nad I hope they can fix it with a firmware update some day..

I've already bought GC controllers though, so meh..

lol @ everyone gettin real upset and not reading what this guy is trying to point out.

to the TC: yeah thats weird, maybe they were just trying to think ahead in terms of wii games using them. but that doesnt make much sense either since the wiimote and nunchuk dont have pressure sensative buttons. hmmmmmmmmmmm conspiracy maybe?????? things dont seem to add up

I personally hate classic controler, it feels so bloddy cheap. I already broke one, and i'm not buying a second one untill nintendo makes a new one, or at least a better third party controller comes out.

I think he's referring to the second set of shoulder buttons, like there is L and R and then ther eis like C1 and C2 or something next to them on the top. So one set is standard digital shoulder buttons, and the inner set are pressure sensitive analog shoulder buttons witha digital click at the bottom so when you press them in fully you can click for use with other games. Anyways, i'm sure its there for futer expansion, whether it be new Wii games that could use them, or if they get a deal with another VC company which may use those buttons.

In SSBB, if you hold the R Button on the GameCube lightly, you create a larger but weaker shield. But if you hold it down all the way, you get a smaller but more solid shield. This should probably work while playing with the classic controller. With the Wii-mote and/or Nunchuk, it'll probably be gesture-based while holding the shield button (whatever it may be).

Clearly you have never heard of or played something called the SNES.

Besides, the only GameCube games that would be good for the VC controller are multiplats. You wouldn't want to play Metroid Prime, WindWaker, or even Killer7 using that controller. Even though that last one came out on the PS2.

in smash bros melee the pressure sensitive shoulder buttons were in use with the bubble sheilds-- brawl may use that feature too.plus--any other game that can use the classic controller for the wii can use that too, so stop freaking out about the gamecube games.

the won't likely make any wii gameeees that will require the classic controller?? don't be so naive... that's a crazy statement to makee, as you don't work for nintendo on a development team... look at the big picture, why would they want to put regular ones on there, and limiit the possibilities?
