"this is actually my second ds. can i still return it?" - pro_acer
Nintendo's warranty does not go by how many units you've gone through. It's based from the time they send out a replacement unit. You should have a one year warranty on the second unit that started when they sent it out to you. As long as it hasnt been a year then you're covered. The real downside to sending it back in is your loss of friend codes. This is because they wont send your unit. Instead the send you a refurbished unit. All friend codes are based on the game + the serial number of the DS it'self. That being thecase, would mean you have to getresend all of your friend codes to your friends.
Your problem sounds like a lose ribbon cable to the top screen (sort of common on the first run of the DS Lite). I could explain to you on how to fix it, but if your asking whats wrong then the answer would be a bit long winded, esoteric, and problematic all rolled into one answer. Your best bet would be to send it in for a fix. If it's past the one year warranty then Nintendo will charge $50 for the service.
is there anyway to get rid of scratchs on the bottem screen. Its really bad and I already been to a video game trader and they said there was nothing they could do .
