Whats your favorite Metroid Prime game?

Super Metroid is one of my all time favorite games. At first I didn't care for Metroid Prime games when they came out. But the more time that goes by the more of an appreciation I have for them. The just don't make games like the Prime series anymore. I continually find myself replaying Prime trology. The first two games were Gamecube games and still look gorgous today. I love the way trilogy turned out on the Wii. It looks awesome on my 32" lcd. Everything in the Prime games is phonominal. From the music to the envoirments.

I own a lot of video games and consoles. I get bored of games really easly. Usually I finish them once and thats it. Some I loose interest really fast and never finish at all. Theres something about the Prime games that just keeps calling me back. I play them over and over.

I have to say Prime 2 was my favorite. While the dark world can be a bit drab the rest of the game is stunning.

Whats your favorite Prime game?

Prime 1. The other two didn't feel nearly as "Super Metroid" as it did. That said, they were all great games, though Prime 3 did seem to be more about the action than the classic elements of exploration and isolation. (Not nearly to the horrific extent of Other M's butchering of staple elements, mind you.) That said... Super Metroid > Metroid Prime, but that's one hell of an act to follow, and for what it's worth, Retro Studios did a phenomenal job transitioning Super's style of gameplay into 3D with the first Prime game.

I honestly thought the light world/ dark world thing was more interesting than Prime 3's attempt at steampunk aesthetics, but maybe that's just me.

You mean "takes names"? ...Or did you actually mean "takes pictures"? Since with how badass yet pretty Prime 1 was, both could work. o_O

Prime 1 is one of my favorite games of all time, so I'll have to go with that.

I was never a big fan of Echoes, but I replayed it recently and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. It's a great game and I've been wanting to play it again recently.

I never beat Corruption. I played about 2 hours of it and never picked it up again.

So for me it goes: Prime > Echoes > Corruption

Prime 1 but I haven't played the second, so I can't make a good call.

I liked Prime 1 the best.

The first one I definitely thought was the best, but the third one was very good as well. The second one was still a good game, but I didn't like it as much as the others.

despite the fact that the first Metroid Prime game was pure awesomeness and blew me away when it first came out on the NGC, I enjoyed the last entry much more than the other two, maybe because it was more story driven this time and plus the fact that you could interact with your ship more. the hyper mode with the PED suit was also very cool addition.

when i beat all three in the trilogy my initial thoughts were
1.prime2
2. Prime
3. Prime3

but lookinmg back now.. the best was prime 1

Metroid Prime 2 was my favorite of the Metroid games just because the atmosphere really felt unique to me and really sucked me in, probably because before Echoes the idea of light Vs. dark was not implemented in the Metroid series. And Prime 2 also managed to have the charm of the first Prime.

Metroid Prime 1 was terrific as well, I just liked Echoes a bit more.

Prime 3 was good, but not "terrific" like the past two Primes. It just lacked the charm of the first two games for me.

The first one. It did everything right. Echoes wasn't as good, but still an awesome seuqel. Corruption was the worst, stepping away from that "you're alone on a strange planet exploring-feeling", and add an unwanted "Metroid can be Halo too-feeling". Plus, you couldn't change beams. Way to go to remove an awesome part of the other games that added some kind of strategy to your battles.

For me its Metroid Prime 1 easily, that game is just plain classic..Maybe followed by Prime 3 then 2, i enjoyed all of em tho!

Prime 1... I love all three, but Prime 1 just has that amazing, epic adventure feel to it.

Prime 3. The music was simply beautiful. My favourite music in any video game. Well besides Ocarina Of Time lol that had some great music.

I recently played Metroid trio on Wii (don't really like playing with double analog ) for the first time and it blew me away. I wasn't into Metroid series before I played Prime but now I'm psyched to play another entry. I played second and third game only a little bit but I doubt they will make the same enormous impact the first one did for me.

Hmm...difficult question.

But i'd say Echoes.

It's darker.:)

I still haven't finished Prime 2, but I did enjoy Prime 3 way more than Prime 1.

I guess I have different tastes than most people here. :P
