Yeah, it was okay I guess, but it doesn't beat this:

TP>>>The hell out of WW

Well at least it was better then MM probably by far the worst Zelda game ever.

Mask collecting, TIMED gameplay, and small forbidden>

I honestly hated that aspect. It REALLY held TP back from what it could've been. It could've been all about the Twlight Realm, but no there has to be this stupid fan-service crap of OoTII. And to be honest, I was disappointed with OoT, atmosphere wise. I absolutely HATED what they did with it, after the intriguing world that was ALttP, Nintendo just screws it all up.

Absolutly NO NEED to insult Nintendo in this!!!

Woah, so we can't criticize TP for sucking? WW blew my mind with its story and freedom. TP felt like a Kingdom Hearts-lite action game with some linear question. Wooohooo...

He never even mentioned Nintendo. Honestly pal I think your losing it.

I didnt mean to make it seem so Extreme! but he did say dat Nintendo just screwed it all up with TP!!! so sue me for having an opinion

So? Nintendo did screw up. Listen, Almost 90% of people who've played OOT think its awesome, about roughly halfof the people I've spoken with who've played TP didn't care for it. That means that TP just isn't up to snuff, sure SOME people think its awesome, but then again some people think the last two PS2 dragon ball games deserved 9.0 scores.

Is that why half of the GS members gave the game a perfect 10 http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/thelegendofzelda/players.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=stats Not only that but less then 10% thought it was nothing short but superb. Seriously stop making stuff up. "Actually, now that I think about it, its more like dynasty warriors." :| I am so out of this thread.

Some people might not realize that todays generation of games are easy to beat. Its funny how some people say that the TP bosses are too easy, when the rest of the bosses from WW, MM, OOT were easy too.

There hasn't been a Zelda game that would bring it up another level of difficulty to make it  tougher since the NES, SNES, GAMEBOY era.

It wasn't THE most simple boss, but one of them.

The Water temple one was easy also.  The Sky temple one was the hardest for me (took the longest time and confused me the most).

not bothered about how simple it was. how about how unspectacular it was! compare TP's comical, silly Ganon battle to OOT's epic, atmospheric and emotional Ganon battle. Best moment in any game ever. The final blow to Ganon in OOT. Who agrees with me! b xx

I was VERY dissapointed with the Ganon duel. It was SOOO easy. Those Dark Nuts are harder to beat than Ganon! At least they can BLOCK.
How to beat Ganon:
1. Lock on
2. Roll Around Ganon
3. Cut Ganon
4. Repeat.

It was SOOO easy. Just ROLL around him! That's all. It was so easy that i tried using other strategies (mortal draw and such). Ganon didn't even hold up his sword. Fighting him as a big pig was harder. Fighting him on a horse was harder.

I was hoping for a much more challenging battle. Maybe have Ganon dissapear and reappear behind you, forcing you to jump backwards or something. Or maybe have Ganon shoot a dark black at you every once in a while so you can use your shield and whatnot.

The ending was good (i didn't expect Minda to look like that), but the Ganon duel was a let down.  I guess it just didn't have that EPIC feel that all the rest of the game had.

I really liked the battle. When you guys say he was easy, you have to remember your Video Game Experts who post in online forums, most people aren't, they have to make it so most people can get through the whole game.

So many people forget this. I liked the last battle, but I would have preferred it if instead if a 4 stage battle, it had simply been the last stage, just harder and longer. That said, I wouldn't miss the moment where you see Ganon crush Midna's headdress for the world. That scene was truly amazing.

I agree there, WW didn't have to be harder, it was impressive watching Moldaga burst out of the sand and fly above you, it had scale, it had scope, boss fights were a joy to just behold in WW, in MM they were fast and brutal, in Ocarina they were epic and fun, smashing volvagia's face anyone?  Chasing Goht?

Sadly I'm called a troll because I criticize Twilight Princess, yes I do it often, yes I point out its flaws in threads where people just seem to want to praise it.  Yet I'm probably the biggest Zelda fan on these boards.  I made these two videos (1, 2) prior to playing the game.  And this one when I realized how charmed I was by Wind Waker.

I desperately want to know what's so great about a linear, dull, and rushed Zelda?

I was dissapointed, he didn't attack enough, and used a slightly modified Darknut AI.  It looked cool though.  More challenging than the ridiculously easy WW Ganondorf fight (Although that one had awesome atmosphere)

[QUOTE="cpaschal"]Although most know it already...it would have been a good idea not to put that in your Title. Its a spoiler of sorts...and most people that havent played it and might be drowning out everything about it until they do just found out Ganon is in it.

Bad poster...bad bad poster.
Shirley_Temple

Most people have known since E3 05 that ganon was the main villain. Unfortunately Nintendo treated this like a surprise in the game even though most of their fanbase already knew of his inclusion.

I actually didn't know I'd be fighting Ganon until it became clear he was the mastermind behind everything. Yeah, I made it a point to avoid spoilers. Anyways, I actually died four times fighting Ganon's second form (the pig), because for some reason I never even thought to HOLD the A button when he charged while I was in wolf form (I kept tapping it). Overall it was a pretty damn good battle - the first form was just like Phantom Ganon in OoT, which was one of my favorite bosses, the second was pretty damn tough, the third was, as one poster mentioned, a very nice surprise - Link and Zelda team up and you actually are able to interact with Zelda to a very small extent (aiming). Of course, it wouldn't be complete without the on foot battle, and it was easier than I'd hoped but still not THAT easy. All of the bosses in TP were ridiculous in scope. The problem is, most of them were painfully easy. The only boss fight that impressed me - but damn it's a lasting impression - was the demon in the sand temple. That actually was pretty difficult for me and chasing after him on the spinner was completely exhilarating. It seriously ranks right up there as one of my favorite boss battles of all time, first obviously being the final boss from Metroid Prime.

I would disagree, I thought the last battle was great. Excellent atmosphere, and action, was it difficult? No, but name me one really difficult game in the last 10 years. Games are not hard anymore, to be honest they were never hard, they just seemed more difficult when we were small children.Sepewrath

Exactly right

I disagree, I just got done replaying OoT and the battles were pretty hard. Then again I'm replaying ALttP which people say is really hard, but in reality I find the boss battles to be easier then TP.

This thread will keep goin on and on about the same thing, agreeing, disagreeing. Its gonna keep goin because some people find the other boss battles in one of the Zelda games tougher than others. Basically, it depends which battles were tougher for you as an individual. Let this thread die already.

Just one point here Ms. Temple: how is Twilight Princess rushed by any stretch of the imagination. If memory serves correctly, the game was in development for 4 years.

How was Ganon the most simple boss in Twilight Princess?  ALL THE BOSSES WERE SIMPLE IN TWILIGHT PRINCESS.

Still, I enjoyed the fight against Ganon more than I enjoyed the lame fight against Zant, and even some of the beginning bosses.  I've been playing Zelda for way too long, and I think the series needs a bit of a difficulty boost to get my attention again the way it used to.

It's not really about difficulty.

The final battle with Ganon was disappointing because, like someone posted above, you basically roll around behind him and cut.  Over, and over, and over again.  That's just repetitive, dumb, and boring.

Now I guess some people made it more interesting by mixing up the combat a bit, but the point is, that's all you gotta do and you win.

And I guess all Zelda bosses boil down to doing one repetitive task over and over again, but there's a certain enjoyment in discovering the gimmick to bring down a boss, like scaling up the towers with the dual claws, shooting that giant spider in the eye then bringing the hammer down on him, etc.

I mean, the whole rolling around Ganon and cutting him deal doesn't even seem like a FIGHT.  It feels like the developers just got lazy.

I think that the last fight in TP sucked. At first the boss fights are really inventive and just felt like Zelda should. Using the Gale Boomerang to get bombs from swinging baboons, making them trip over their own chains, using the spinner to fly off the walls everywhere to hit em. It's good. But as it went on it seems like the developers just got lazy(Armogohma, anyone?). The fight with Ganon in his pig form was the only part of the final battles they got right. After that you get on this crappy chase where you have to race up to like a foot away from Ganondorf and keep him Z-targeted so that Zelda can shoot him(else she'll practically shoot the exact opposite way), and if you get knocked off or the camera gets freaky on you, you lose him and have to start all over again. Its more frustrating than fun. After that, you finally come face to face with the big man himself. And you know what? They set it up like the climax of a bad anime. They set it up right-atmosphere and all, and all event leading up to- but they don't deliver. All you do is roll around him the whole time. It's not like in OoT where you're up against this huge demon-looking thing and you actually lose the Master Sword halfway through the fight. Or in WW when Zelda gets knocked out. It was just fan-service.

a sword fight is what i really wanted, and the horse back part wasnt bad either

beats the final boss in okami thats for sure
and yet kh2 was such a generally easy game, but my gf had a stroke trying to win the final battle

I was also disappointed in alot of the boss fights. As for Ganon, it gets a bit repetitive when the only way to defeat something is to wait for that one animation. I would have liked a faster-paced sword fight and having all the neat tools I've picked up on the way have some effect. Otherwise, why bother lugging all those things around?

Who says they spent every moment perfecting the game?  Look at how short the temples get towards the end, look how the items aren't fully implemented in later parts of the game.  I think that halfway through its development, they began working on the Wii controls and forgot to make a compelling game experience.  Things in this game seem off, chests are so small I tend to have trouble getting in front to open them.  Epona runs like her back leg hurts,  Link isn't well animated at all, he's almost spastic at times.  Little things ruined the experience as a whole for me.

TP was for the fans. It was all the things they screamed for. And now they are ALL complaning.
