When is it possible to see a new Wii Zelda!? Anytime soon?

We can all conclude that we won't see a new Zelda at this years E3, but when could we expect to see one(teaser, whatever)?

In the interview with Myamoto he said that the Zelda team were focusing on Zelda titles, but he didn't confirm that one was in the works! Do you even think they have started development of the new Wii Zelda yet? Or do you think its still in the drawing board or are they just thinking about what to do next. What do you think?

It may be revealed at E3 next year. Just don't expect it to be shown as early as Twilight Princess was. Nintendo is on top of the world now and has no reason to build hype for their systems. They are a different company then they were during the GC era.Rocky32189

Well yeah, the GC was a relative flop, they had something to prove then. Now they don't, they can afford to relax and take time with development instead of cutting dungeons like they did for WindWaker.

from what i remember twillight princess was done for the gamecube and they held it back so it could be on the wii

meaning that they have been working on zelda for the wii since at least 2006 .

i would guess that if they have shown it at e3 it would have over shadowed wii music and motion

but id bet that they could have shown something now and if console sales were to slow down a zelda trailer would pop out

or at least at the next big event. even though console sales are good for nintendo its still a business and they want to win, come christmas we should hear more or see something

It'll be released in Fall 2010 at the earliest.

Except you can't plug the nunchuk into the Wiimote while the Motion Plus is in it. So the Zelda game would be a stupid collection of killing things with the sword.

This is what I was thinking...

One to one motion sword fighting would be pretty good, unlike with Z:TP where swinging the control was the same as pressing A.

Yes you can. The Motion Plus has a pass through for the nunchuk.

Zelda would be amazing with 1:1 sword control. Talk about epic sword fights.

Woah, you think that late? I'd think by holiday 2009 would be a better assumption. They've had since Twilight Princess to start and they should be making good progress, if not 55% done by now. From what Miyamoto said they're fooling around with some different concepts so they should probably have a story and various concepts by now. They probably started working on it mid-2006. At the same time holiday 2010 isn't that far away, just 2 years and it takes a long time to make a Zelda game. Roughly 3 years normally.

I'm about ready to have Microsoft to develop this thing.
