I like first person shooters.  The Wii was supposed to be good for them.  Instead, we get three games that receive 5.5's, and a game that gets a 7.2.  Where's the decent FPS?  I don't want to wait for Metroid Prime 3!  Brothers in Arms doesn't look good?  So I ask you, where on earth is a good FPS for the Wii?

Developers need to learn how to incorporate the shooting aspects of an FPS to the controller properly.

For the most part, I havent been very trustworthy of gamespots FPS reviews.  I picked up Medal of Honor the day after it came out and its good, u can adjust tthe wii remote sensitity and everything.  I like FPS games on wii, they just take getting used to because the first time i played red steel i thought it was crap, but after one or two more plays it grew on me and now i like FPS games for wii.  They are all pretty good, just get used to em.

There not on Earth, there in hell. You have to go through a series of obstacles to reach the valhalla of Wii FPS games. But seriously, just give devs time, devs aren't perfect as soon as they get the dev kits, it takes time.

I haven't played Red Steel or MOH but COD3 is a solid game.  I'm a big, big fan of FPS on the PC and COD3's controls are pretty good.  I would have like to have seen a better aiming rectical (but that's not a control issue) and I would have liked to have seen the game free of any "bounding box."  I think that if developers will adopt to the remote's IR and tie all movements directly to it like a mouse then we'll have some tight FPSs on the Wii.  To pull this off properly developers will have to give users a lot of room to adjust the sensitivity.  If you haven't already give COD3 a chance. It's a good renter and definite pick up in the used bin.

I was expecting Red Steel to be really poor but after some of the positive comments in the forums I gave it a go. After a bit of practice it all started to feel pretty good. Don't expect to be circle strafing (which is so unrealistic anyway) and I think it plays really well. I used to think Metroid Prime felt all wrong because around the same time I was playng Quake online but now I think Metroid plays really sweet. I am surprised how much I like Red Steel. I don't like CoD 3 though I got it on my 360 last year, I thought it was an inferior game compared to CoD 2. I would say Red Steel is a much better game than CoD 3. Many would disagree I guess but thats gaming I suppose.

Like everyone is saying, if you don't like any of the ones that are out now, then just give it time and I'm sure some good ones will come along. As for me, I have an Xbox 360 and a Wii, so I can play great FPS games on the Xbox and party and Mario games on the Wii.
