GC is the only way to play!KeenzachNo,there are 4 different controllers,so there are 4 ways to play SSBB.
And GC controller ftw.
If I use the Wii remote its just for Shake smash most often.
I used the GC controller the most since I was an avid Melee player but I've recently upgraded to Wii-mote and Nunchuk. It's much better.Dark_Link142
I wish everyone would realize this.
Most people assume the GC controller is better, because that's how they played Melee.
Everyone really needs to try using the control method the ENTIRE game was mapped around.

Since when was Brawl mapped to be played with Wii-remote+nunchuck? Brawl's controls are the exact same as Melee's, and GC controllers worked fine for Melee, so I don't see why Wii-remote+nunchuck should be any better.
I mostly use GC controller, but Wii-remote+nunchuck's fun to play around with. I set smash attacks on d-pad like someone else mentioned above, jump for C button, shield for Z, and left A and B as A and B.

Maybe because Brawl is a Wii game?
And the default control setup is the remote and nunchuk?
No, that's crazy!
But you basically cleared things up for everyone anyway.
You said the GC controls are the exact same from Melee.
Wanna know why?
Because Nintendo just threw them in there. They didn't care if they went with the game or not.
Which controller DID they focus on? The remote and nunchuk. Which is why anyone who's tried all control methods, will say it's easily the best way to play.

Maybe they didn't change the GC controls cause they were already good.

Ever wondered why when Sakurai showed screens in the dojo the HUD was always made of GC buttons? I thought so...;)

Because the better control scheme was still being perfected?
Read these posts.
I used to use a GC controller until I realized it was complete and utter crap compared to the Wiimote and Wiimote+Nunchuk options.-Oath

wow thank you I never knew that!
when I said that I ment gc because its the best but if correcting something like that makes you feel better then by all means go ahead
I use the wii mote and nunchuck. Map your smash attacks to the d pad and you will have very easy access to them. I use remote only, is very easy when you get used to.[QUOTE="Keenzach"]GC is the only way to play! I am an ignorant fool!Justinge3
