Protest The Hero needs to be in Guitar Hero: World Tour.
Its not fair if they aren't -- sooooo much talent.
I'm so excited to have "Everlong" by Foo Fighters and Paramore too. Well... modern bands? I would go for Arctic Monkeysmanhunt92
I agree.
I would also like to see something from The Bravery (But not "Believe" it's so overplayed)
They're very talented in all instruments, and the vocals aren't rediculous
Same goes for Arctic Monkeys
I play in a band, and it's hard to cover Arctic Monkeys because every instrument takes a considerable amount of time and talent to play right.
I wish they would stop putting such rubbish on there
I know that a lot of mainstream stuff isn't "guitar hero" material but it's still a lot more fun to play. Like those 4 people in the world who like some of the songs on the game aren't gonna make the game great
it's far better when you know the songs your playing. Muse on 3 WERE AWESOME! same with the killers
Depends what you mean by modern, but since you said Linkin Park I guess modern is anything past like 1999, so Slipknot, Disturbed, Wolfmother, White Stripes, Rage against the Machine (Sleep now in the Fire please Activision), Audioslave and System of a Down should all be on there. They aren't all that modern but then neither is Linkin Park really.bobbetybob
no they're new people with old style of music
I wish they would stop putting such rubbish on there

What are you talking about? Most of the stuff in Guitar Hero is pretty mainstream. What songs/bands are you referring to?

Probably all the metal and maybe even some of the classic rock. Its impossible to please everyone with a game like this because everyone's taste is different. I love metal and LOVE classic rock and I HATE a large majority of the "mainstream" stuff he's referring to. Very few exceptions.
Wait.
White Stripes.
bob_newman
The White Stripes, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Revolting Cocks, Ministry, Sepultura, Pantera, Megadeth, Stone Temple Pilots, Hole, Radiohead, System of a Down, Primus....
I want lots more!

But... most of the metal and classic rock in Guitar Hero is very mainstream. There's millions of radio stations that play this stuff nonstop. Besides the stuff in the bonus section, almost all the songs in GH could be considered mainstream.
more queens of the stone age more muse they left incubus out of 3 for some reason even though their songs are great some aduioslave would be great Coheed and Cambria needs a Guitar Hero apperince more killswitch engauge they something before Howard Jones joined The Dillinger Escape Plan more flyleaf Sixx AM they are techniquely a modern band Morningwood

I would argue that classic rock was mainstream back in the 60's 70's etc and metal could be considered mainstream to people who listen to metal. Bands in these genres get played all the time on the radio but mostly by stations dedicated specifically to the genre. What's really popular now is unfortunately garbage for the most part. Easily marketable catchy tunes or rap/hip hop is usually the mainstream stuff. Take a look at itunes top 10 songs. Things like the Jonas Brothers are up there and while a "band" like that is complete garbage in my eyes thanks to Disney's infinite spamming of it across their tv station they've become popular, addmitedly mostly to women but popular nonetheless. That's mainstream garbage. The beatles were mainstream a long time ago but now while many people may still enjoy them you aren't going to hear them played at a high school dance.
Breaking Benjamin, Modest Mouse, Tool, Perfect Circle, Sevendust, Trapt, and too many I know won't be in it.IronManRhinoNo way you like Modest Mouse too?

The Dear Hunter, The Mars Volta, The Fall of Troy, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, and Coheed and Cambria is all I can think of at the moment.bc1391
And here I was thinking I'm the only person alive who knows the Arctic Monkeys. I've heard they're popular in England but NO ONE in the states knows them, which surprises me becasue they're amazing

They were pretty unknown for a while in the States with just a small following (Myself included) then they got a bunch of attention and now they've fallen off the radar again. I think it's good though. Popularity can be bad for a band with such an unconventional style. Being "underground" serves their sound better. I saw them live at a small place and it was awesome.
More on topic, yes to Arctic Monkeys
And yes to Bloc Party
