Definitely Virtual Console. I have the VC and Collector's Edition Gamecube one, and with the VC one, you don't have to swap discs, you can use the cl assic controller, and I heard the GC one is glitchy. Also, it's probably cheaper.

I'd get the Master Quest, still play the original version first, but the Master Quest comes with both versions anyhow, so if you ever want to play through it again the Master Quest will be an option for you.

VC = $8.00 for just that game

or

$30 on ebay for

Zelda 1

Zelda 2

OOT

OOT MQ

MMask

Which would be $26 but the Master Quest is unavailable on VC.

Also I'm miffed A Link to the Past was excluded off the collector's edition. Does the VC still have Rumble features via the Gamecube controller? I remember some Zelda puzzles using the rumble feature, like when you could bomb places etc.

Actually the VC version is $10 (as are all N64 games excluding Sin & Punishment). Get the master quest one as most other people are saying as it has 2 versions of OOT in it, plus rumble support unlike the VC version. Also the Majoras Mask in the Collectors Edition is glitchy awssk8er716, not OOT. Of course the VC version does have the added convenience of being on your Wii at all times and you won't need a GC memory card, so if you are really lazy you could go for that one.

uh... last i checked 64 games were 10 dollars... so... 10 for just OoT, or 30 for all of the above, which would actually come to 36 without master quest.

If you're looking to just play the original OoT then I would suggest you purchase the Virtual Console version for $10.

Whoever if you're looking for a challenge (somewhat) and a different view of the dungeons and temples then I would suggest the "Master Quest" version of the game, you can probably find it at a GameStop in the Used GameCube games section (the game comes with the original OoT and an additional "Master Quest" version). Master Quest is basically OoT with reworked dungeons and new puzzles, so if you're looking for a new challenge in the game I recommend that version.

Hope this helps answer your question.
